Looking for an office chair, but can't spend a $1k+ on a Herman Miller. Are there any cheaper alternatives I can get online?
I went with a Haworth Zody and love it! Got it new from a warehouse (so no warranty) for about $450

Used Haworth chairs are great. $150-200 in Canada… sometimes you have to wait for one to pop up on marketplace. Zody are great.

Do you live in or near a city? I got a new Haworth Zody for $450 from a liquidation warehouse. It was new. No warranty. I added the back support.

Looking for an office chair, but can't spend a $1k+ on a Herman Miller. Are there any cheaper alternatives I can get online?
A Haworth Soji is $500 on their site and it's a a really good chair. My old company had all Haworth chairs and they were comfortable for full 8 hour shifts.

Is this a good office chair?
Would not spend $450 on a no-name chair. Get a Haworth, or a used Herman Miller or Steelcase.

The Best and Most Comfortable Ergonomic Office Chair To Buy Now?
Love the Haworth fern but it’s a bit divisive so you’d have to try it out. Can’t beat the look though

Office chair for 250+ lbs used for 12+ hours a day
Look for a used Steelcase Leap or Haworth Zody. They go around $200ish and built to last. New, the HON Ignition 2.0 is solid under $300. Way better than gaming chairs.

Office chair that won’t flatten after a year or two?
Herman Miller Aeron, Haworth Fern, or Haworth Zody. I work for a Haworth dealer but I've sat in an Aeron for the past 11 years.

What's are home office purchases you've made that have more than paid for themselves?
Used Haworth, Steelcase or Herman Miller kit is the way to go. If you have it available around you.

What's are home office purchases you've made that have more than paid for themselves?
Bought Haworth chairs for myself and my husband - game changer! No more neck pain and all of the adjustments are easy. I personally don’t find mesh chair comfortable and my old Aeron used to make my legs fall asleep which I hated

PSA: Avoid Secretlab Chairs
In 2020 I had tried to purchase a SL chair when everything was switching to remote. My company was reimbursing office equipment and Secret lab was not on the list of approved merchants so I went with a Haworth Fern instead. Now I know why these expensive office chairs cost as much as they do. 5 years on and it works just as well as the day I bought it. Sorry to hear about your experience OP :(

What chair should a women get who sits in the chair for hours
I’m so late to this but as a woman with scoliosis, I am OBSESSED with my Haworth Fern. I’ve had her for nearly 3 years and she’s an absolute dream. I sit at my desk for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, and even all through my pregnancy when my entire body hurt, she was my greatest comfort. I got the extra lumbar support but my husband has one without it and it’s still super comfortable (he also sits in his for 6+ hours/day). We could not be happier with our purchases.

Is $260 for this office chair worth the price?
I personally rly dislike Herman Miller honestly, just doesn't feel like it's build for tall people, making it incredibly uncomfortable for me (well most of them) Much prefer haworth myself

Everyone saying the Herman Miller but I love my Haworth Fern. Also yeah, exercise. I hate machine exercising, but yoga works for me.

Brands you swear by that have Buy It For Life quality products
Crandall is good people, and they're in close proximity to Herman Miller, Steelcase, and Haworth. All of which are BIL office chairs. Crandall also sells parts so you can DIY.

Whats the best home office chair?
Also in a Haworth Fern. I feel like no one ever talks about this chair and it’s so comfortable

Whats the best home office chair?
There is no one best office chair because there is no one spine. Generally though Herman Miller's top end chair that was developed post aeron, the embody is the king of office chairs. Haworth's flagship fern is nice as well. I personally hate the aeron. I've had the opportunity to test every high-end office chair on the market as many "gaming" style seats. The main deal breaker on the body is that the shoulders at roll forward a bit, and I don't like how it feels like it's pushing my shoulders forward.

Mesh office chair vs. cushion chair? anyone tested them both?
It depends on the user. Good quality Mesh seats will last forever. They are really only comfortable for people who sit properly though. If you sit on a foot or with a leg in your lap, some mesh chairs (looking a you Aeron) aren’t that comfortable because the stiff frame for the mesh is hard. I bought the Embody over the Aeron because I wanted a more forgiving cushion. The Embody still has a seat that will last forever (same 12 years warranty as the Aeron) but it works better for my needs (it’s a cloth covered plastic grid). I recently got my son a Haworth Soji. It’s a foam cushion with a mesh back. So far he loves it. It also has a good warranty.

Haworth chair on sale. Is it worth it?
I can't speak to whether Haworth chairs would be most suitable for your particular needs or "worth it", especially if you have to make special—and expensive—arrangements to get it shipped to Canada. That said, it might be worth mentioning a few things either to you or others reading this thread who are interested in Haworth. 1. Haworth has a [sponsored thread here in reddit,](https://www.reddit.com/comments/1pm7ya/if_youre_sitting_down_you_should_care_about_your/) with lots of comments added by /u/Haworth_Inc. (Yes, yes: /r/HailCorporate and all that. Still, there *is* some interesting information in there, though one should retain a healthy skepticism while reading it.) 2. Haworth is a partner through the [reddit gold program.](https://www.reddit.com/gold/about/) Specifically, if your account has gold, and I believe you can simply get it for yourself, then you're currently entitled to a [20% discount.](https://www.reddit.com/gold/partners) 3. Haworth-specific showroom locations are relatively rare, but [here's their list.](http://haworth.com/bottom-nav/company-info/locations) Since OP's from Canada, it might be worth highlighting that they have locations in Calgary, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Toronto, and Vancouver. --- All the above notwithstanding, I'd recommend deferring to the recommendations of others on the following points: - Whatever chair you end up getting, it sounds like the particular merchant to whom you linked has a bad reputation. - For BIFL products like office chairs, your wisest choice is often to buy a used product through Craigslist, office surplus warehouses, or other secondhand sources. - Oh, and furthermore, you may learn your preferences concerning office chairs are very particular. As a result, it's always worth testing out anything you'd get in person before buying it. Good luck with whatever new chair you end up getting!

Haworth chair on sale. Is it worth it?
If you spend your workday mostly seated (as I do) it'll be a worthwhile investment... that said, I'd still try and find a used one as mentioned above. Another piece of advice, totally unrelated: Invest in a wearable that will alert you after some period of inactivity. The single most valuable feature of my Apple Watch has been the reminder to stand up every hour.
