The Best Pillow for Side Sleepers Currently?
Helix Side Sleeper Knee Pillow. Placing a pillow between your knees can dramatically reduce hip, lower back and spinal alignment which indirectly improves neck/shoulder comfort even though it's not a head pillow

The Best Mattress to Buy at the Moment?
i'd toss in helix midnight coz its a hybrid mattress that seems to hit that sweet spot. The cooling features are solid and people mention the zoned support system a lot. Another one is titan plus luxe, it has reinforced edge support and the cooling tech on that one gets good reviews too

The Best Mattress to Buy at the Moment?
We have one of the new king size Helix elite models from this year (they revamped the design earlier in 2025) and are loving it so far. We tried most of the brands you mentioned in stores and were originally thinking to get a Saatva or Winkbed. Then we tried the Helix Midnight and Sunset Elites and it was a game changer. Noticably more comfortable than any other mattress we tried and definitely better than their more popular (cheaper) midnight luxe model. Sure it cost more, but we wanted to invest in the best.

The Best Mattress to Buy at the Moment?
GF has had a Helix Midnight and it has held up well for a couple of years. I prefer my Purple mattress as it’s not as firm or as warm as the Helix (not to say the Helix is hot, it’s just noticeably warmer than the Purple in my experience). Haven’t noticed wear issues with either Purple or Helix and I think they both have a generous return/refund policy if I recall correctly.

The Best Mattress to Buy at the Moment?
We’ve had a helix midnight luxe since March 2021 and it’s been amazing: supportive, no noticeable sagging (and I’m 275 lbs), and feels just as comfortable as the day we opened it up. We used a promo code from a YouTuber I watch and got two free pillows and some other stuff, which made the purchase even more worth it.

imo Helix and Leesa Kids mattress are both good investment. Both have this similar idea with the flippable design and tbh worth it if u want something that hold up well over time

(REQUEST) FOREVER Mattress
even the best ones have a realistic lifespan of 8-12yrs before materials break down esp at ur weight range. But u can absolutely maximize longevity with the right choice. Helix Midnight has decent support which is perf for ur wife and Titan Plus Luxe is designed for heavier folks so it's very durable. u can def check their showrooms before buying

Looking for NON-latex mattress recommendations.
T&N is actually a decent choice but u can check also on Helix Midnight, it's a hybrid and zero latex. They do the whole sleep trial thing too so you're not just stuck if it doesn't workout.

Best mattress for a stomach sleeper who refuses to change positions?
Stomach sleeping can be rough on the back, but a firmer mattress helps keep your hips from sinking. Cheap foam beds sag fast, so that’s likely what you’ve been feeling. You could look at the Helix Dusk Luxe. It’s a medium-firm hybrid with zoned support to keep your spine straight and some airflow for cooling. Comes with a 100-night trial and lifetime warranty too.

Need a mattress from Amazon or anywhere that can deliver quickly. Any recommendations?
I sleep on a helix in my bedroom. It's a bed in a box type of thing, and personally I love it. Best bed I've ever slept on. I found a local dealer, she showed me the best price that they had on their website with coupons and whatever, and then beat it by quite a bit. When my son needed a new mattress, we went back to her, and she sold us her floor model for dirt cheap. So I'd say don't overlook floor models. That said we have a zinus in our camper. We got ours from Sam's (I try to avoid the big A at all costs, but you can get them there too). I'm old, and fat, but it gets the job done. It will never replace my helix as my favorite mattress ever, but it does provide me a decent night's sleep. And for a lot less.

Looking to purchase a quality bed.
The type of mattress you want to look for is called a hybrid. They have a layer of coils in the support core so they last longer and don't sag. If you just get a slab of foam it won't last long at all. I have a helix midnight and its been great so far. Look up "helix midnight review sleepline" on Google, it's the best review I found for it.

Best FIRM mattress options
With sciatica, the big issue is usually the hips sinking too far and throwing off your alignment. Foam beds tend to make that worse over time, so a firmer hybrid with coils is usually a safer bet. You’ll want something that holds your spine straight but still eases pressure around the hips. Helix has a model called the Dawn that fits that description. It’s their firmest hybrid, and you can add an upgrade called the ErgoAlign layer, which is a zoned foam system built to keep the lumbar area supported. That extra reinforcement under the hips and lower back can make a noticeable difference for nerve pain.

Best FIRM mattress options
I’ve seen people swear by Saatva Classic (firm), WinkBed (firm), or Helix Dusk Luxe for back and hip support.

Best FIRM mattress options
I've seen good reviews about the titan firm luxe. Its also designed for heavier sleepers but works great for anyone who need real support. The pillow between knees is a total game changer in ur case like the helix side sleeper knee pillow. Specifically designed for ur case and has a contoured shape that stays in place way better than jamming a regular pillow between ur legs.

Best affordable mattress: which one should I buy?
If there is one thing you don't go cheap on is a mattress! I know its a mattress salesmen pitch but it is true...Don't skimp on something you will be using 1/3 of your time and which has a multitude of impacts on your health. First you need to determine your predominant sleep position for firmness. Don't go all memory foam unless its a tempurpedic, and those are expensive. On the budget friendly side stick with combination of memory foam and springs, I can honestly recommend Brooklyn Bedding , I had the Auorora Luxe and I got the best sleep ever as a side/back sleeper who suffered from shoulder and back pain. Helix is their upscale brand and equally good with more premium materials. When we upgraded to a king size bed, we went with organic latex from Avocado. The good thing about the internet only vendors is long trial periods and no interest payment plans if you cant unload a few thousand on the spot. Costco is another viable option with their forever return policy also, and they have good prices on run of the mill mattresses. Stay away from mattress and furniture stores, quality is crap and huge markups.

A good mattress, do they exist anymore?
My Helix is awesome, plus it was shipped to the house so no dealing with shitty salesmen. Took a quiz online and picked the one they matched me with. My husband is easily double my weight and two years later it still has plenty of support. He can pretty much drop into bed and I don’t feel anything (or get slid over to his side), and it’s quiet for smexy times.

Best mattress for kids recommendations as a “long-term investment”? I really need it to last
Helix kids is a great mattress for growing children. It’s flippable like one side is softer and the other is firmer, so you can switch it as your kid gets older. It's non toxic, hypoallergenic and the cover is supposed to be water repellent so less likely for your kid to ruin it. Still BUY a protector tho! Good idea with a full size, it will be better in the long run!

Should Birkenstock soles look this bad after 1 year of occasional use?
Go with Helix instead. They cost triple but last at least five times longer. Plus, you can buy them in the size that fits you. They don't need to be larger, as one comment about the Birks suggests.

Looking to replace every single item we own
Cookware: If you have a gas cooktop, you can’t beat a 12” Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. I did 80-90% of my cooking in that one pan. On an electric, I hated Misen, but am loving Hexclad Mattress: I went Helix Elite. Absolutely no regrets. Previously had Casper that I had to put a $400 topper on, and the Helix is FAR superior. Sofa: LoveSac. Comfortable, durable, customizable. Outstanding.

Looking to replace every single item we own
Sorry for your experience. Getting into the suggestion, as a recent person that bought a house and moved "for good" I did quite a bit of research on a lot of things. As you might know a lot of them are not BIFL, and some people will scream at you if the thing lasts only 30 years, but my answer to your list is: 1 - AllClad + LeCreuset (if you want cheaper options, cast iron skillet will do 80% of the things easy, do not sleep on things sold at Costco either, such as Tramontina and Ninja) 2 - I've been eyeing Thuma bed for a while. Solid reviews. If you have more money, I would go with a local Amish shop. For now I only have a creacky metal kingbedframe from wayfair that is going strong for 6 years. Mattress I got Helix, but at 2k I feel like I overpaid. 3 - I would say here its the most subjective. Do you have dogs? How big is your family? What style you going for? If you not 100% sure, from all things I would suggest you invest on this one the least, and leave the door open for future changes.

Best mattress for kids recommendations as a “long-term investment”? I really need it to last
We bought the helix kids mattress for our oldest and liked it so much we bought it again for our youngest. Our first one is about 3 years old and still like new. It’s so comfortable that both my husband and I fall asleep on them sometimes when we are doing bedtime routines. Overall we’ve been very happy with the purchase.

What are the best mattress brands reddit seems to like?
I think the single best piece of advice for anyone buying a mattress is to test out several, in person, in a store (probably a dedicated mattress store). The people working there (often times it's just the store owner) make all their money from helping match people to a mattress and genuinely want to do well at it because their reputation in doing so (and not being a dick) is really all they have to set themselves above others. And a mattress really is something that's about individual preference, so others' opinions of it won't get you very far. Try to find a couple models that match, then spend a bit of time looking for the general consensus on their long-term suitability (not just the horror stories). Consider the opinions about things that would affect everyone, not just someone who picked a wrong fit for themselves (like durability, customer service, etc.). Pick between them, then **go back to the mattress store and buy it from there**. If you found a better price online, tell them and they will match the price 95% of the time (because of how much headroom they have to play with prices). But the stores will only keep existing if they get business, and buying a mattress is too important to just leave up to blind ordering online (even with reviews). For a specific brand, my spouse and I just went through looking for one and about 3 months ago bought a Helix, specifically this year's (2025) Midnight Luxe. We were upgrading from a 11-year-old internal spring mattress, so of course it's so much better, but I can't personally speak about longevity.

Mattress reccomendation
I don’t have one myself, but the Helix Midnight Luxe gets recommended a lot for back pain, especially for folks in their 30s and 40s. It has zoned support through the middle, so it helps with spinal alignment without being too stiff. The hybrid build keeps it breathable and supportive, and it works well if you switch between side and back sleeping. A lot of people say it helped with lower back pain after a few weeks. Might be worth a look.

How has the customer service been? Have they dragged their feet on sending replacement? So sorry you are having to deal with that. I bought a Helix and Brooklyn Bedding, and luckily no issues. We are happy with both.

Where do you buy hotel-quality bed sheets and pillows without spending a fortune? I want my bed to feel like a Marriott stay.
I’m a lifetime Marriott Platinum and have spent several recent years at Ambassador status, so….LOTS of nights in Marriott properties. And not always the good ones. I regularly stay in Spring Hills, Courtyards, regular Marriotts, but also Ritz, and Autograph properties. AND STILL, I can’t wait to get back to my own bed. The best combo for me for the best ten years has been simple: Sleep Number mattress and Peach Skin sheets. Our vacation house has mattresses from Helix Midnight Lux, which came with free pillows that I love and use at our main home too.

Looking for a new mattress.
Im going through mattresses right now. Spent like 3400 on a saatva classic. Im 6'3 250. My wife is 5'7 125 and we both have back pain. We hated it. I wanted to love it. First time i laid in it i knew it wasnt for me. Weak edge support and dipped toward middle. Returned it. Ordered bear elite hybrid. Better than saatva. Couldve kept it and been ok. But wanted to try helix Helix midnight luxe w cooling whatever it is. Amazing. It has more support for mid low back area and is more comfort driven near legs and chest/head. Its supportive and by far the most luxurious-comfortable feeling of the 3. I love it. Wake up and have no back pain. I get excited to go to bed now.

Please recommend a mattress for a side sleeper
I think the Helix Mdnight Luxe is one of the best options out there. I've had it for a few months, and it's been a game-changer. The medium-firm hybrid construction provides great pressure relief for my shoulders and hips, which is essential for side sleepers. Plus, it's got a plush pillow top that adds extra comfort.

The Best Mattresses Now?
Casper was bought out by Carpenter, Purple on the verge of Bankruptcy, Tuft & Needle acquired by Serta who went bankrupt last year... Boring Mattress :) Mattress shopping is overly complicated thanks to the industry, it's been like a gold-rush where brands import crappy beds from China and/or stuff their beds with gimmicks, call them MoonFoam™ and FairyDust™, and promise it'll change your life (ps. it won't). Lots of decent options out there, ex: Boring Mattress (founded by T&N founders)...has a protection plan (BoringCare™) on top of the 10 year warranty. If you FEEL like it stops supporting you within 3 years, we'll replace it. Beyond that, you're covered for a decade against defects. Otherwise, check out Helix, Brooklyn Bedding, DLX, or a local showroom. Don't overcomplicate it!

The Best Mattresses Now?
There is no overall best, it really all depends on your needs and budget. I ended up going with Helix after spending a ton of time reading/watching all the reviews on [Sleepline](https://www.sleepline.com/). They're the only reviewers I've seen who actually say both good and bad things about the different mattresses, so it really helped me narrow down my decision. I've been very happy with the Helix so far.
