Recommendations for Wintergloves ( leather wool combo preferably)
For best warmth: mittens. But my partner uses Hestra gloves 90% of the Canadian winter (down to -30C including windchill on the regular) when walking our dogs. On days that are extra cold he wears wool liners in his gloves. We have older Smartwool ones but there are various options. The Smartwool ones have held up better than some of the other liners he has previously tried. In general wool or wool/silk liners are a great choice to boost the warmth of whatever you are using.

UV plus all the wet dry cycles are usually what wreck kit first, you can baby stuff all you want and it’ll still get cooked by the sun and soaked over and over until the materials just give out eventually... For jackets or shells, the tougher 3 layer woven nylon with a proper PU or ePTFE membrane survives way longer than the flimsy laminated fabrics people try to pass off as technical. Seam life comes down to fully taped seams with wide tape, the skinny decorative tape peels off early. Goggles stick around when they use polycarbinate lenses in stiff frames, the floppy TPU ones twist and crack and then the coatings just flake. Gloves that last are full grain leather with Kevlar stitching, all the foam backed synthetic stuff gets shredded fast and it’s extra bad in really abrasive snow where you’re constantly brushing ice off gear and each swipe wears the surface. Old Arcteryx SV shells and Hestra Army Leather gloves are the classic examples of kit that actually survives. If something advertises softshell panels in high wear spots, skip it because those sections blow out first every time.

Most ski/snowboarding gear isn't gonna be BIFL unfortunately. The nature of the sport causes a lot of wear and tear on things. That being said, I have a DC snowboarding jacket from about 15 years ago that's still going strong and in great shape. I don't ride nearly as much as most people who live in those kinds of areas, the jacket has maybe 200 days on mountain, but I've taken some gnarly spills on harsh terrain and never had a rip, tear, or other damage. I think Hestra still has their lifetime warranty on gloves and mittens. They're pretty pricey but I've heard nothing but great things about the product and brand. As far as goggles, a lot of people are brand loyal but the biggest/best brands are Dragon, Smith, and Oakley. I like Dragon for their size and peripheral vision and so far they're holding up pretty well.

Hestra are always the answer. You could also try merino liners under your current gloves to see if that helps. If I’m out and it’s really cold I usually wear a liner under my mitts.

A bit niche, but Tanner baseball tees. Just got my first one and it’s night and day compared to the rubber Easton my kid’s team broke. Kuat bike and ski racks. Well built and awesome customer service. I own a second hand Transfer bike rack. Had a part fail and they replaced the part for free, no questions asked. Hestra ski gloves. Specifically the army leather heli series. Expensive but worth it. Free The Pow is a great company for similar gloves but I don’t have as much experience with them.

This is an interesting one. Normally, I would recommend anything from Hestra in LEATHER. But then, when just cycling for a few minutes in non-freezing temperatures, I recently discovered MoG - Masters of Gloves. A bit tactical and perhaps not quite BIFL, but very good anyway.

Patagonia vs TNF Parka
I bought the Patagonia parka for my gf that hates the cold. She's loves it and our goes down to her knees. It gets a strong recommendation from me. Also, since your gal has poor circulation, keeping her hands warm will do wonders. If she doesn't have gloves or they aren't warm enough, I recommend some Hestra gloves. I have some that I wear on the coldest days and never feel even remotely chilled. Another great option are the zippo the Heatbank 9s rechargeable hand warmers ($40 or so at REI). Keep a pair of them in the pockets of the parka, she can use them for her hands or move them inside the parka for extra warmth.
