Lazyboy Sectional – $6K Worth It or Overhyped?
Overhyped, I would recommend Himolla for leather and reclining functions.

Advice wanted for recliner/loveseat fabric
I would definitely recommend you look into Himolla. They are made in Germany and pretty readily available in the U.S their leather quality is truly top notch. Super thick, supple and breathable available in almost any color you can think of. They are made of solid steel and wood no plywood (I do know some plywood is high quality but that’s the exception) or particle board! I posted my two sofas and chair so you can check my profile to see pictures. They do also offer cloth options, however their leather options would be my recommendation! M Jacob’s in Oregon had crazy good pricing on them.

Best High Quality Couches?
In addition to the leather you choose, the sofa's width will have an impact on the price. Of the USA-made brands, **Carolina Custom Leather**, **Hancock and Moore**, and **Taylor King** will probably have the best leather libraries and build quality. Their models tend to be more traditionally styled. The German brand **Himolla** is more modern, but most of their models will probably be above your price range (even if the sofa is stationary; Himolla is known for the quality of its motion mechanisms). Alternatively, look into the **Of Iron & Oak** brand. They are mostly Direct To Consumer\*, although there's a design center & showroom in Lambertville, NJ. They offer Chesterfield, traditional, and mid-century modern pieces. I don't know the quality of their leather selections. But they do offer 5/4" thick solid kiln-dried "hardwood maple and poplar" frames; eight-way hand-tied suspensions are an option. (I'd prefer *100%* 5/4" thick solid Hard Maple (*Acer saccharum*) frames, as it's stronger and harder than poplar. Don't know if this is an option; it would increase the price.) \*Online mostly; furniture is shipped via freight to you.

best sofa for living room ?
In terms of higher quality USA brands, have a look at Kindel Grand Rapids (specifically their "Kindel" and "Karges" lines), Taylor King, Hancock and Moore, Century Furniture, Vanguard Furniture, Sherrill, and Stickley. Many American brands tend to be traditional to transitional in style, although there may be a few modern models. Himolla, a German brand, offers more modern styling. Their motion mechanisms (e.g., reclining, movable headrests, arms, etc.) are very high quality. High end European sofas start around $10,000 from the likes of B&B Italia. Other brands can get way more expensive (Poltrona Frau, Minotti, Baxter, etc.).
