Looking for a rice cooker
We have one of the higher-end Zojirushi rice cookers, as well as an Instant Pot. If you're a college student on a tight budget, go with the Instant Pot. True, it won't make rice as good as the Zojirushi - but the pressure cooking feature will let you turn all sorts of cheap stuff into tasty food quickly. You can also sautee in it and the pot is stainless steel and nearly indestructible so no worries about scratching or teflon. Look at the Rio Mini model - it's small but the pot is nice and wide. If you've already got food prep covered and don't think you'll use the pressure cooker feature much, go with the Zojirushi. The rice they make really is excellent and very obviously better than what you'll get with a cheap pot-with-one-button rice cookers. Do be careful with the pot though and only use really soft things to clean it.

What is Best air fryer under $200 to Buy?
I am really happy with my ninja prestige smart XL as a toaster and large batch air frier and there may be smaller models that are not $250. Oddly, when I just want to cook a single serving of fries or nuggets I go back to my bin type instant essentials and that just works. I use paper liners to reduce cleanup work in both.

Best air fryer in 2025? any recommendations?
I love my Instant Vortex and I only paid $100 for it, and it does everything you'd need from an air fryer. You can check this article for some good recommendations. [Best air fryers in 2025](https://stevenmouk.github.io/recipescal.github.io/airfryer)

Best air fryer in 2025? any recommendations?
I just went through the same search earlier this year, and after a lot of research (and some trial and error), I can recommend a few options depending on what you’re looking for. Since you mentioned quick dinners and snacks, you don’t need anything overly expensive or complicated. If you’ve got the counter space and budget, my top pick is the **Ninja Foodi DualZone (or FlexDrawer, the newer version)**. It’s awesome because it has two separate baskets so you can cook, say, chicken in one and veggies in the other at different temperatures and times. The FlexDrawer even lets you remove the divider and use the whole space if you’re cooking something big. It heats fast, cooks very evenly, and is super easy to clean. The only downside is it’s fairly big, so you’ll want to make sure you have space for it. If you want something more budget-friendly or compact, the **Cosori Dual Blaze** is a really solid choice, it has heating elements on both the top and bottom, so you don’t have to flip food halfway through, and it gives great crispy results. For smaller kitchens or just 1–2 people, the **Instant Vortex** is also worth looking at, simple, affordable, and reliable. I’d avoid the no-name brands you see on Amazon, they tend to be noisy, inconsistent, and the nonstick coating doesn’t hold up well. Whatever you choose, look for something with dishwasher-safe baskets to make cleanup easier. For me, the Ninja has been a game-changer for weeknight meals, but all three above are good depending on your needs.

What's a good budget multi-cooker* ?
I totally get where you're coming from. When you're juggling a lot, cooking can feel like just another chore. A good multi-cooker can seriously change the game, especially for quick, no-fuss meals. From what you’re describing, I’d recommend looking into something like the **Instant Pot Duo** or **Ninja Foodi**. Both are budget-friendly depending on the size/model, and they’re super beginner-friendly. You can sauté your veggies, pressure cook rice, steam, slow cook all in one pot. The Instant Pot, in particular, has a massive online community too, which helps when you’re starting out. A couple of tips: * **Skip the fancier functions** like sous vide if you won’t use them. They add to the cost. * Go for something with a clear, simple interface (some models are too button-heavy). * Check the pot size. A 6-quart is usually the sweet spot for most people. I actually wrote a blog post breaking down the best multi-cookers (for different needs and budgets), so feel free to check that out if you want a deeper dive: [https://voyedy.com/best-multi-cookers/](https://voyedy.com/best-multi-cookers/) Hope this helps!

Best Air Fryers to Buy?
Big fan of my Instant Pot Vortex XL...my recommendation would be the latest Philips Viva with analog controls, with the caveat that even that won’t last forever.

Big fan of my Instant Pot Vortex XL. (Liked it so much, bought a second one.) Not terribly expensive, actually air fryer not a renamed convection oven so fast heating, and plenty of space to feed 2-3 people .
