Looking for reliable laptop around $400-600
Depending on what you use it for, an iPad with a keyboard can sometimes be a better long-term buy than a cheaper laptop.

Need help choosing a tablet
Kind sir, you have definitely got your money's worth. I bought a high android tablet in 2013, and I didn't get 2 years of good use due to the battery and crappy android updates that were non-existent at the time. Don't be a dummy, buy an IPAD

BIFL HS Grad gift for my daughter
Hot take - high school graduation is an artificially inflated accomplishment. Show up and you get a diploma. Great for selling balloons, flowers, cards, mugs, and jewelry... Is she going to college? If so, a MacBook + an iPad (with pencil) would be very much appreciated. Did that for my three - one out of college, and two still in. The iPad is indispensable for taking notes, recording lectures, and doing.homework (especially for majors like engineering - crazy how you can import a PDF, annotate, do complex math with graphing, etc.)

[Advice Needed] First tablet for college - ₹96,000 (~$1,150) budget
Do not go for Android Tablet. I repeat do not go for Android Tablet. Buy iPad Air if you want to save money. Buy iPad Pro if you want the best. Buy iPad Pro M1,M2 if you want the best and save money.

Just check with long term lag from the Samsung. Like check a high end Samsung tablet from 2020/21 and see if there is any lag with people online. iPad for sure won’t lag much at that time that’s why I said that.

Honestly you've got your pick, it really just comes down to if you want an iPad or a Galaxy. Well, I guess the Surface is popular enough to get a mention. I'd say it comes down to what operating system you want, and how seamless you want it to integrate. There are still some apps that are OS specific, or function best on a given OS. Your school may have one they recommend. Chances are any tablet made in the last few years will be just fine 2020-2025 had less changes than 2015-2020 did.

iPad Air 13” if it’s available for your desired price? iPads don’t really slow down much and have great resale value too. You’d need to buy a keyboard for it too.

Does that cost include case and stylus? I think you can't go wrong with either an iPad or a Galaxy tab. I have both, and they are still going strong at 8 and 7 years. I did get a nice case with built in keyboard that has a mouse pad for the iPad, which vastly improved the usability.
