Best adjustable dumbbells that actually last?
Other than the Ironmaster style, and the inexpensive starlock 1" screw handles, or 2" Olympic style handles, there aren't any that are BIFL. The quicker you can change weight, the more parts there are to go wrong. The Powerblocks get an honorable mention, because they're relatively simple.

I know people complain about the grip, but after a few uses, it's easy to get used to. I owned the ironmaster's too, but It think the get too long for the weight I use. Super easy to change weight too, but make sure you get the stand.

Another vote. I use regular dumbbells to 50lbs, then these for 55+. They feel like real dumbbells, especially if you get the (I think) 25lb plate set that go inside of the handle (making the grip smaller and closer to a real dumbbells).

Best adjustable dumbbells that actually last?
Another plus one for ironmasters, I’ve had mine for ~15 years, very solid and go up to 75lbs each

Best adjustable dumbbells that actually last?
I second the iron masters, very expensive but durable and the simplicity trades a bit of convenience for a lot of durability and some room for expansion.

Best adjustable dumbbells that actually last?
I've got some 20yo Iron Masters that are still like-new. Chose them just because I couldn't get comfortable trusting some plastic mechanism to keep me from eating the weights when they're overhead. I'm sure the other styles have various fail-safes but there's something to be said for steel and simplicity.

For Those Of You Who Have Ironmaster Dumbbells — Did You Feel Sick Spending That Much Money?
As a strength athlete, I always advocate for Olympic dumbbell handles, especially if you already have plates. I'm of the opinion that adjustable dumbbells only make sense if you both 1) don't already have plates, and 2) have ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM. Olympic handles are far, far cheaper, last longer, are more flexible (you can add more weight for things like Kroc rows, and have more granularity with fractional plates), and don't really require significantly more space.

Quick-adjust dumbbells can break, especially cheap ones, since they have inner mechanisms for changing weights. So dropping them on the floor when you go till failure is usually a bad idea. I have a set of [these](https://trulap.com/products/t8592), albeit sold under a different brand in EU, and I probably baby them more than I should. Ironmasters are not as convenient as some of the others when it comes to changing weight, but pretty much as durable as traditional dumbbells.

Not really, and I’m Canadian so I probably paid more to get them here. I’ve had them for years and love them. If anything the cost has been more motivation for me to actually use them. Plus I know they’ll last forever since there’s nothing that can really go wrong with them. This is just me though. It’s one of the few pieces of fitness equipment I have so it was worth the premium IMO.

Best Adjustable Dumbbells In The UK With At Least 2–2.5Kg Increments Up To 40Kg
Ironmaster quick lock dumbbells with addon kit. Takes them up to about 54kg in small increments. Absolutely brilliant, rock solid pieces of kit. They feel great to use (hard to explain, but balance feels much more like proper fixed dumbbells), quick to change weights, and have lifetime warranty. Quite expensive but worth it imo.

$350 for 90lb USA Powerblocks
They should last forever as long as your not dropping them, I have the urethane version and really like them, also have the ironmasters and those are rock solid and should last forever unless subjected to extreme abuse, and even then you would only have to replace, or fix the broken part.

$500 BIFL Health/Wellness products?
I’m not sure what they cost now, but IronMaster adjustable dumbbells are indestructible. I bought mine a while ago for $499 and I’m sure they’re more now, but they were absolutely worth it.
