Looking to buy first quality knives.
I got my first three Japanese knives & they lasted me for decades. Then my wife came along and immediately (within two weeks) of living with me broke the tip off a knife. I will never know how one breaks the tip off a santoku knife! Now I got her her very own knives that she can manhandle with more force. If you like to chop rather than gently rock or slice then please listen to others and get German knives. I still swear by Japanese knives and think you need only one to three of them depending on how much you do in the kitchen.
