Has anyone actually found a pair of shoes that truly last a lifetime?
Any quality boot that has a Goodyear welt that can be resoled will last a lifetime. I have a couple of Danners that have had multiple resoles through the last decade. I have some Johnston and Murphy dress shoes that have lasted over 15 years that have been worn for many special occasions. Other than that, if it's a running shoe, or hiking boot, I generally consider those consumables and accept the fact I'll be buying more of them.

Looking for the best wallets for men that actually last
I just replaced a Johnston & Murphy front pocket (I think it is the Weekender) wallet after roughly 15 years. It still functioned fine, no holes or anything, just wanted a new wallet. I replaced it with another Johnston & Murphy.

Looking for the best wallets for men that actually last
It has only been two years, but I bought a minimalist leather wallet from Johnston & Murphy, and it has proven indestructible so far. I've run it through the washing machine once, and carried it in my pocket with my keys every single day. Shoe trees are necessary for good shoes
Perhaps this is the same thing, I use spring loaded cedar shoe forms for my Johnston & Murphy work shoes, I’d bet they double their lifetime
