Yes, those are totally fine to use. If you want to go a step further you can apply a clear top-coat to protect the stain further.

best bed frame this 2025
This is my time to shine!! **KD Frames**. Dude. They are solid, and easy to break down, and dont cost a bajillion dollars like all the other wooden frames. The included hardware is excellent too. Had my "lexington" model for four years, and I'm certain it will make another 10-15. I had the same frustrations when hunting in the past where all the frames I could find were made like crap. These are solid. No squeak, no play.

Looking for durable bed frame!
I thought the KD Frames Lexington made the bed really comfortable - it felt way more sturdy and supported than a Zinus from Amazon, which also had off gassing that made me cough, even when I covered it.

KD Frames: what's the catch?
So it seems sturdy? Just looking at photos of the fold makes mw worry because I don't know how it can stay sturdy with it not having straight legs on the front. At this point I think my only choices are 2 brands on wayfair that make solid wood and solid wood slats because 1. those 2 say they support more weight than kd frames ones and 2. I think the kd ones will just take too long to get to me.
