What's are home office purchases you've made that have more than paid for themselves?
A good quality trackball instead of a traditional mouse, and a mechanical keyboard. I have had some pretty bad RSI and carpal tunnel, and these two things cured them completely. I use a Ploopy Adept trackball, which is programmable with VIA/QMK so the settings are stored in the device instead of an application on the computer. My wrist stays in a neutral position, my shoulder and elbow don’t move at all, and I can comfortably use it for upwards of 10 hours a day with zero fatigue… not to mention the DPI is insane and I’m able to be more accurate with it than I ever was with a mouse or trackpad. The keyboard is a Keychron K10 with brown gateron switches. Wirelessly pairs to two devices (in my case, my Mac for 3D design and music production, and my windows laptop for work, electrical engineering). It is the most comfortable, low-impact typing experience I’ve ever had. Both of these devices are a 10/10 for me and have significantly improved my quality of life.

Monitor arm, ergo mouse, mechanical keyboard, proper chair. Ergotron, MX Vertical, Drop or Keychron, Herman Miller if you want my picks. Work from home full time for a full decade as of November this year.

Yes! I bought an MX Mechanical for the office and fell in love instantly. Bought a Keychron for my home pc a short while later. Turns out I didn't know what love was. I've been hesitant to replace the MX since it wasn't exactly cheap, but its only a matter of time.
