  ISO whole house water softener & conditioner/filter in central TX

  I've had a Kinetico softener for about 15 years and its been pretty solid. It doesn't use electricity like some softeners do since its all mechanical, and you can adjust the amount of water before it regens which can be nice if you're water is really hard. Its had very minimal maintenance done on it, I think there was a replacement done to the flushing valve a few years ago because it got loud. I had media tested a few years ago and its still got plenty of life in it.

  Looking for whole home water filtration.

  We have a Kinetico K5 system. Its a reverse osmosis system with a 10 gallon tank, you can get larger. It has 5 filters. The fitst 3 are to remove random garbage, the last 2 are to put the minerals back in the water that were stripped from the first 3 filters. We have to swap filters about once every 5 years. Its about $400 to replace all 5 filters.

  Looking for whole home water filtration.

  We have well water that is awful (hard, iron, sulfur, etc) and got a Kinetico system. We have a softener, carbon filter, and the RO just for drinking water. The thing is built like a tank itll outlast me for sure.
