It only has three settings, but that’s been enough for me. I really love that it’s magnetic so I don’t have to fumble around sliding it into a base, especially when I can’t see very well. And because it attaches on the head instead of the handle, the water is at a more natural angle when using it as a shower head

  Crack-ing clean - best bidet toilet seat recs please

  Pretty much anything will work from the cheap stuff on Amazon to the ultra fancy offerings from Toto. I think the Toto offerings at Costco are by far the best bang for the buck if you have a way of getting power to the seat, if not a cheap one will work just fine, either a whole seat unit like from Kohler, or just an add on cheap one from Amazon.

  What are some items under $500 you’ve made so far that changed your life?

  Be sure to buy a seat that fits your toilet if you're springing for a seat, and not roughing in a completely new commode. The cold water one isn't the worst thing in the world, but a warm one would be really nice. I have a Kohler Cimmaron commode and a Kohler m300 bidet attachment. I finally had it installed once I got wind of Trump's tariffs. I'm trying to minimize my TP dependency.

  You should start with the biggest metric of a lawnmower which has zero to do with the Brand Name of the mower you buy: Engine Torque. No one in the history of man has ever decried their mower has too much power. So you should seek out the highest torque engine in a mower you can find. But the ad or the big sticker on mowers has a HP rating? That's for the ignorant consumer, don't look at it. But the ad or the big sticker on mowers has a cc sizing? That's for the ignorant consumer, don't look at it. You find the torque rating of the engine by reading deep into the product listing or visiting the engine maker's website. The torque kings are the Kohler 200cc engines with the Kohler RRH625 having 10.4 ft/lbs of torque. That is based on my prior research and maybe there's a new king, but do your research.   Basic Gas Mower 5-6HP?

  You do not buy mowers based on HP rating or cc size as that's how the famous class action lawsuit got started and was won. You buy based on torque rating while giving zero damns as to HP or cc size. The Kohler RRH625 has 10.7 torque and to my knowledge makes all the other engines it's bitch, though there may be a newer king of the hill.

  Not sure it's true bifl yet but the various Kohler step cans at costco have been excellent so far. For true Bifl though.... get these old school industrial steel cans recommended in threads elsewhere here.

  BIFL touchless kitchen faucets?

  The Kohler model I bought has just one sensor, but on the underside. Since I've not installed it yet, it remains to be seen how well it works. I'll report back in a couple weeks when I install it. (Waiting on some other plumbing parts, might as well redo several things under the kitchen sink all at once while I have everything pulled out of there to work)

  Good kitchen faucet? Spent $300 on a MOEN faucet but it’s proved to be trash compared to my parents no name.

  Moen has turned into cheap junk IMHO. It used to be good 45 years ago when I has my house built, but since has gotten worse in quality. I have to pay more for both Delta and Kohler, but especially Delta is way better IMHO. (even though it too has degraded since "old times") Kohler is slipping, but both Delta and Kohler are way better in both quality and support. I asked a couple of plumbing contractor friends of mine (one who's now got 40+ employees working for him) and the other works independently, they both agree that Moen is now regarded as "run of the mill" lower quality, lower priced "junk", but satisfies the budgets of many people. Just my comments. \- over the last couple of decades as I've remodeled / replaced / refurbished my abode, I've compared products, asked many, many professional plumbers and builders, and the consensus I've heard is: Moen is contractor grade "low quality" "junk" that satisfies the budget conscious consumer, and doesn't last. both Delta and Kohler still have the quality, offer higher end quality products. The old saying: "one gets what they pay for" applies here. "one has to "pay to play". Nothing is free.

  What brands do you trust to always deliver a high quality product?

  Vevor, oddly enough everything I've gotten from them has been solid. Knipex products have been great aswell, but generally too pricey for what they are. Dixxon makes solid flannels, but they're also just way too expensive for what they are. Anker makes pretty decent electronics, but they don't sell parts for any of the things I've grabbed. Next Level apparel makes pretty decent shirts (they hold up to battery acid, welding sparks, normal sparks, and general wear) Carthartt is still alright for pants, if you buy directly from the website. Otherwise, everything else I've found has been trash.  Timberland and brunt have proven pretty decent shoe wise. I really wanted to like wolverine, but I can't get their boots to last more than 5 months. Smith still makes decent helmets, but I prefer the petzl ones. They're fall protection equipment is also pretty solid. Benchmade for pocket knife, but victorinox makes very nice kitchen knives. (Their Swiss army knives are meh to be fair) Cat still makes half decent equipment, but their generators are garbage. Kohler generators are way better. Speaking of, kohler faucets are dogshit, but their toilets are still half decent.

  [BIFL Request] - Kitchen Sink Faucet

  Moen and Kohler are considered the best. Delta and pfister are 2ndish place but at a distant 2nd place and not close. Single handle faucets have an expected lifetime of 10-15 years.  Only advantage is it uses 1 cartridge only and not 2. Double handle 3 hole faucets have an expected lifetime of at least 20 years.

  Bathroom fixtures that do not rust

  Agree with others, Delta, Kohler, Moen. Wipe with gentle cleanser if you must. No bleach, no Clorox or Lysol wipes. I just wipe with water & save my cleaning products for the caulk & sink bowl itself.

  Kitchen Faucet

  Canada/US too. I bought a Kohler Coralais about 7 years ago.. about 6 months the spout welded itself to the stem, mostly due to our hard water and calcification, Kohler sent me a new faucet and some replacement parts for free.
