BIFL: The humble gun belt
For EDC either IWB or OWB the best OVERALL gun belt is a Kore Essentials belt and most are just $55 with 10% codes that they give out like candy. I've had my favorites so far, 1 in leather and 2 nylon web (stiffer than leather) for 3-4 yrs and if you tally up the adjustability, major support and amazing quality and just plain ease of carry, you can not beat them, no way. I never ever wear any of my other belts at this point. Simple as that.

BIFL belts at the most competitive prices?
You might want to check out Kore Essentials or Klik Belts—both offer durable nylon options with solid buckles. Grip6 is a great choice too, especially for a minimalist design. If you're on a budget, you can also look at military-style rigger belts on Amazon; some are surprisingly durable for the price!

What do you look for in a BIFL belt?
I came here to say this also. Gun belts are where it’s at. I would give Kore Essentials a look. Cheers.

What do you look for in a BIFL belt?
Gunbelts are the way to go. Magpul Tejas, in particular, was my every day belt for almost a decade, then I had to switch to a belt made by Kore Concepts, which is a nylon core gun belt with a ratchet system, since I lost 70 pounds and dropped a huge amount of size from my waist. I've use ratchet belts from other companies that broke after a couple years, since the rivets that hold the little springs in place eventually fail. I expect my Kore belt will probably die soon too, but it's going on 5 years and it's still holding up. The Magpul belts are thick bull shoulder backed with a piece of nylon sandwiched with a piece of grippy rubber on the inside of the belt, then stitched down, and they have stainless hardware which is removable/replaceable if needed. They're thick, tough and durable, and I still have mine, I just don't use it as much since I've lost so much weight... but they're great. Also made in the USA, and reasonably priced compared to others like Hanks.
