Winter Boots for a Lot of Walking (France)
So to confirm, you're not after hiking boots, but general daily use? I recently bought a pair from Lanx that are lovely. I'm yet to really put a beating on them, but they're Goodyear welted, extremely comfortable and seem high quality. Similar price point to red wing.

Very sad to say Blundstones are no longer BIFL. I had a pair in my youth that lasted me a decade. Now after a few short months the soles of this pair has literally turned to dust!
I’m very happy with my Lanx’s so far, the inner fabric has worn at the heel but they offer repair options that I’m going to investigate soon.
