Need good silverware
Liberty tabletop, made in New York. I love our stuff; sturdy, washes well, and looks great.

Looking for quality tableware, serverware, and cookware for my house.
I'm in the same spot of trying to find new quality flatware. Liberty Tabletop has nice designs, but more importantly you can order three sample forks for $10. Hopefully they work out for me once they arrive in the mail and I can order more on black friday.

Cutlery which is lose-proof
Not the same quality anymore. The US factory now makes Liberty Tabletop. The quality is awesome and their standard patterns are timeless.

Cutlery which is lose-proof
Liberty tabletop has several designs and is still making the one we bought when we got married >10 years ago. We've had a few go walking off as well, plus now we have 3 kids who also use the flatware, so I'm about to order some extras to fill in what we run out of most often.

I should've listened... shopping for flatware is a nightmare.
Just adding on here - I agree, go with Liberty Tabletop. After reading this thread and looking at lots of flatware options online and in-person over the course of months, I got the Liberty 3 samples. I ended up going with the Chesapeake line, and I'm obsessed with them. When I first received the samples I didn't like it because it was so different from the heavier modern design we had prior. Not all of Liberty Tabletop's patterns are light but Chesapeake is (it's in Colonial sizing). over the course of several weeks using the samples, it's the one I found myself reaching for the most when clean. I have now had the full set of Chesapeake for almost a year and love them! They still look brand new. I will say I have not tried to bend them on purpose. A lot of people look at the ice cream test to see how sturdy their flatware is. I have eaten a ton of hard ice cream straight from my freezer, straight from the pint and they hold up great even though the pattern is quite delicate. At least when scooping up individual bites. If I was trying to use the spoon to scoop out half the pint in one go and the ice cream was rock hard, I can imagine the spoons bending for sure. But if I needed to do that I'd use a real ice cream scoop. That's why ice cream scoops were invented in the 1800s - because spoons are not great at scooping hard ice cream. I just had a baby too so I like the idea of a lighter less heavy set for little hands as my little one grows.

PSA: If you're looking for stainless steel flatware, maybe avoid Liberty Tabletop for now
I had one knife with a slightly crooked angle, everything else was fine. I've had them for nearly 8 years, not a speck of rust nor imperfection from use. Knives still cut perfectly. We'll just have to agree to disagree on the quality. There's more to the price than the quality, anyways.

BIFL - Best products from the USA
Liberty Tabletop Flatware. Their Modern America flatware is BIFL. Speed Queen TC5 top load and FF7 front load (and their commercial variants) are also BIFL. The TR series is also BIFL but if you have absolutely filthy clothes with stains, you will find the TC5 to be better at cleaning the filthiest of clothes.

Is there an Silverware equivalent to Corelle
Liberty Tabletop is basically the old Oneida. When Oneida moved overseas, former workers bought the factory and kept some of the same staff who worked in the Oneida factory. In doing so, they are now the only flatware made in the USA… if that appeals to you.

Is there an Silverware equivalent to Corelle
I have three different sets from Liberty Tabletop. You can also order samples. I ordered two sets of samples. Each sample order lets you pick three patterns. So I picked six patterns to see which one I liked best. Typically the samples are forks. I am glad I did that because one of the patterns I thought I liked wouldn’t have fit in my silverware basket in the dishwasher and it would not have been a good choice for me. I ended up getting the Lexington for every day. I got the Holiday pattern for Christmas. And recently got Oliver because puppy paws are cute and it donates a portion to shelters. As a bonus, it’s made in the USA

Not since they moved their production overseas and to Mexico. Liberty Tabletop has their old factories state side now and outs out good flatware.
