Who uses and recommends which earplugs?
I use the standard Loop ones. They're a bit uncomfortable when sleeping on my side, but I take out the one on the pillow side. Have them tied together with a little ribbon so they don't get lost. Had them for about 2 years now.

Question for those that have bought custom earplugs
I recently switched to loop earplugs for sleeping, they’re surprisingly soft!

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
• A crossbody case for my phone. I literally drop my phone all the time and having it hang over my neck or shoulder is so cool because even when it slips from my hands, it doesn’t fall, it just hangs lol. • An ESR Case for my iPad. You can literally have the iPad sitting higher than it does - no more neck craning, I love watching things now and I can read/type effortlessly. • Charging dock - I used to always forget to charge my stuff so having a dock for everything means I don’t have to remember every single device, I plop everything there from the getgo. • Sonicare toothbrush - used to have to brush my teeth so carefully and panic about how long I do but now it’s an easy timed and vigorously clean experience. Dentist gave me praise for it too. • Wifi-controlled bulb, control it through the app or my voice assistant— no more getting up to do it! • LOOP EARPLUGS. My lord I was living in constant auditory overstimulation and used to struggle so much with people making noisy public phone calls or shrieking children at parks. Now I can sleep anywhere and anytime, or just read my book.

I'm looking for a device to assist with a physical limitation I have.
I'd check out loop quiet. They're super low key, don't look weird, and help a lot with noise without block everything.

i second the loop earplugs, they have a model which is adjustable so you can flip a tiny switch and ittl go from you being able to hear a conversation and block out background noise to complete noise cancellation. their main market is for music festivals and ive used them a ton.

Loop earplugs are pretty great. I use mine for clubs and concerts. They make a variety of styles to accommodate different needs.

I'm looking for a device to assist with a physical limitation I have.
I get sound sensory issues when I'm having a migraine, and am also a musician so have a need for high quality earplugs - I have two suggestions for you Loop earplugs are pretty comfortable and stylish, and I use them sometimes when I'm having sensory issues (including when I sleep) The best earplugs I've ever used that lower volume without any effect on frequency spread are Erasers; they're very minimal / discreet, and they lower the volume of everything without muddying anything and without making your own voice feel weird in your head. You can still have a conversation with them in, they're nearly invisible, very comfortable. I think they cost about $50, I carry a set on my keys so they're with me all the time, they are a lifesaver for me.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Shokz customer service is fabulous. The actual device might not quite be BIFL, but their customer service sets them apart. Shokz has been my main headset for 6 years now. Airpod Pros and high end Bose noise canceling hardly get any use since buying Shokz OpenRun Pro 2. Use Loop earplugs when I need noise reduction.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
I am also a middle school teacher and I use loops! Mostly for walking to/from lunch with the kids when it’s extra stimulating and loud, but I have had a class where I used it. I’m autistic and the loops helped me to cut down on all the overstimulation.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Loop Earplugs! I wear Loop Engage almost all the time outside the house, with a chain earring like one made for double lobe piercings to hold it to my ear if I take them out. It’s so much easier to socialize now, and I feel like I can actually give my companions the attention that our conversations deserve instead of being distracted by everything else.

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?
I use Loop for concerts too. I have already lost enough of my hearing due to genetic issues, I want to protect the remainder that I have. They work great.

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?
I dunno about "changing my life forever" but there are some things I wish I'd bought earlier: Shark Rocket cordless stick vacuum cleaner. I hated lugging my heavy, corded vacuum around and I hated cutting hair off of the roller. I have wooden floors, a small, very dusty apartment, and like 4 electrical outlets total. The stick vacuum is also way better at picking up hair and doesn't get jammed up. Loop ear plugs. They are cute and I can attach the case to my bag. I get migraines and am sensitive to noise, and these are great to use on public transit or in noisy areas. Costway twin tub washing machine. I hate using communal laundry machines because they're disgustingly dirty and expensive. I got the kind without a pump. I just put it in my tub and fill it up with my hand held shower head. I save $60+ a month and don't have to worry about other people's nastiness on my clothes.

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?
I do think custom-molded earplugs are still better, but I've been using Loop Earplugs for concerts and they are both the most comfortable and the most effective generic earplugs I've used. Also the little magnetic strap they sell to keep them around your neck when not in use is fantastic. For anyone not able to afford custom-molded plugs, definitely check out loops. I've tried like 4 brands of earplugs for concerts over the years and none have even come close to the comfort and audio quality.

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
Good earbuds! Depending on my mood at the time, I use either Loop earbuds or AirPods. I have the Quiet Loop Earbuds that block out like 98% of sound for those times I need to really lock in and be completely uninterrupted. I also use my AirPods with the adaptive setting for music at a low volume so I have “background noise” that is loud enough to hear it but not loud enough that I have a solo concert in the middle of the office.

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
If you’re a super-sensory ADHD loop earplugs help dull down shit you notice I have stainless steel chain link fidgets which make great soothing noises and are easy to clean Apple AirTags AND tiles also Apple Watch (medication reminders, gen reminders discreet) A focus setting on my phone I named stuck where I activate it and it blocks doom scroll apps and do not disturb on so I have an easier time breaking out of a functional freeze

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
I got some noise-reducing Loop earplugs for my adhd kid for school and she loves them so much she asked for a backup pair. They really help her to focus at school.

Earplugs For Sleeping
I've had loop quiets for several years now and they've treated me well. They sell replacement silicone tips and have a good range of sizes. They're the only ear plugs I've ever been able to sleep in. Others that I've tried hurt my ears.

Earplugs For Sleeping
I have some earplugs that I bought off Amazon that I really like. I bought them in June 2024, haven't had any problems. At the time they were offering a coupon that took them down to about $12 but I would buy them full price after my experience. Link: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1VFBHVD](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1VFBHVD) I tried Loop and they are very comfortable but I had trouble with them falling out and getting lost. I did try different sizes of the part that goes in your ear, it didn't help any. I really liked Loop but them falling out and getting lost got too expensive.

Earplugs For Sleeping
I had to get the XXS size ear tips for my Loop Quiet because the XS tips were too big and hurt my ears. But the XXS were slightly too small, so they didn't seal well and would fall out. Loop Dream tips are oblong instead of round, and the XS size fits my ears perfectly.

Earplugs For Sleeping
Loops are surprisingly comfortable for sleeping. I like them better than foam. They are not quite as effective, but they are more comfortable, which matters a lot for sleep. And you can wash them and use them for years, probably just until you lose them. The only thing that I found better than the loops are sleep earbuds (I use anker), which are very expensive, but the white noise really helps me. I am 100% sure they are not bifl though.

Loop Dream for sure. Have been using them throughout my trips on the plane and in hotels alongside with my dad who is a loud snorer and it’s been a lifesaver.

Earplugs For Sleeping
I'm a side sleeper and I use Loops. I bought the original Quiet ones and not the new sleep ones. I recently bought the Quiet 2s and did not like them as much as the OG Quiets, they felt a little stiffer. I can't speak for the Loop Dreams, but I would have tried those if not for the price and having already owned a pair of the OG Quiets.
