What’s a small upgrade you made that ended up being way more impactful than expected?
Ear plugs for sleeping! I use loops brand

What’s a BIFL thing you bought and now swear by?
I got some Loops recently and they're fantastic. Block out sound, fit flat so I can lay on my side.

Who uses and recommends which earplugs?
Also happy with my loops. I bought the Switch 2 earlier this year. Haven't tried sleeping with them though. I think I'd want something softer. I've slept with Hear-Os in the past as needed and they were good.

Who uses and recommends which earplugs?
Another vote for loops. I just had a baby and needed something to take the edge off that I could wear for long durations and they've been great. I got the quiet ones. Bummer is I'm worried about losing them since they have a tendency to pop out when I'm sleeping but at $25 a pair I've been careful to comb over wherever I fell asleep when that happens. They stay in pretty well.

Who uses and recommends which earplugs?
Loops earplugs, I have Quiet for sleep, and Engage 2 Plus for every day use. I don't know how I managed to function before them. I've been using them a few years now and it's lifechanging. Now they have a special model for sleep too, Dream.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
i love loops for dampening sound without totally deafening your hearing, but they might not be comfy to sleep in. flare audio has a similar product (not *as* dampening as the loops, but i've only tried the very basic ones) that are so comfortable i've forgotten i'm wearing them :)

the best noise reduction earplugs for sleeping?
I bought both original loops ($~27) and an AliExpress version (~$1). They’re for all intents and purposes indistinguishable. I like both but will stick to buying the cheap version if I ever lose my two pairs

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
YES loops earplugs and Shokz headphones. Game changers for protecting my hearing. I was born with mild bilateral hearing loss and I deal with BPPV on and off, but I haven’t had a vertigo episode since I switched to bone conduction and stopped wearing in-ear or traditional headphones (like, 2 full years now). My husband with normal hearing prefers them, too.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Piggybacking off this. My Loops earplugs were a major game changer at concerts. I have tinnitus and episodes have gone way down since buying these. Spend the extra $30 for the ones with the volume switch. Some shows are louder than others.
