A few brands I'll probably stick with for life
No vehicle is BIFL, but between my wife and myself we’ve had 10 Honda vehicles over 26 years. During that time we only had one issue, a steering wheel click on a Ridgeline. Zero powertrain problems. I have no reason to look at anything else.

Any personal recs for a used hybrid SUV that will be long-lasting?
But you can't flat tow the Corsair. Escape and Maverick are the only hybrids I'm aware of that can be flat towed. Or the Honda HR-V manual transmission hybrid, but those are rare.

Looking for a hatchback car that’s not an SUV. We have a rav4 and looking to replace my ‘10 corolla. We have 2 large dogs.
Sounds crazy but I love the Nissan kicks

Corolla Hatchback. I have a 2019 and I can't recommend it enough. With the rear seats down you have a good amount of space, it gets great gas mileage and it's fun to drive.

[Bifl request] A car, suv, or truck
Can you give a price range or certain features that are must haves? In general, you can't beat Toyota or Honda, or their luxury brands: Lexus and Acura. Subaru is also solid (they're partners with Toyota). If you're considering an suv, and have a lot of money to spend, I would get a Toyota Land Cruiser . There's a reason why you'll find 15 year old land cruisers for over $10k. Econo car, I'd pick a corolla over a civic because the Corolla has a timing chain instead of a belt. Midsize sedan, Honda Accord. Full size, Toyota Avalon or Lexus LS460. Out of all the cars, if money is no object, I'd get the LS460. Truck, nothing beats a Toyota. Small suv, Honda CR-V. Mid-size suv, highlander, pilot, or 4Runner.

If money is no object and you're looking for the best. It will be really hard to beat a Toyota Landcrusier / Lexus LX 570, they are quite literally the best of the best in terms of Toyota quality control / management. There are 20 year old Landcruisers that are still kicking and people buy them up left and right for everyday drivers / off roaders.
