Have you used LysolLaundry Disinfectant? It does a good job eliminating odors. Using a commercial detergent helps, too. r/laundry is a great resource.

I wash a lot of pee bedding as well, we use an enzyme cleaner in the softener spot and no softener. We rotate between natures miracle and the Lysol sanitizer. Very important to run a cleaning cycle with appropriate cleaner for your type of washer once a month. We have high efficiency top loader and if I forget the cleaning cycle it can become apparent quite fast. If weather permits, line drying in sun helps too. Or even if you can put it out in freezing weather every so often, that can help.

Something like Biz. The new product by Lysol is called laundry sanitizer. It goes in your rinse cycle in the fabric softener spot. Between the biz and the laundry sanitizer we’ve gotten nasty smells out of work clothes.

Go down to Marshall's and squeeze all the towels until you find the softest one. That is the one. You can use Lysol detergent additive instead of bleach, and the color will be fine.

Spritz shoes with a little lysol frequently. Bowling alleys do it bc it works. Moisture is the enemy. Don't put socks on wet feet.

If it's foot-type odor, it only concentrates in the leather because wool wicks so well. Unless your floors are really dirty, the odors come from yeast. All feet have yeast, and all they need to grow and develop a good crop is moisture and time. They eat glucose and simple sugars (sweat, many hidden sources) and ferment it into volatile (fragrant) alcohols and esters. Tilex usually has bleach. Bleach kills yeast but it's hard on leather. Look for non-bleach disinfectants containing BAK: benzalkonium chloride, quaternary ammonium compounds. Most non-bleach disinf sprays have it. It's very effective against yeasts - notice the concentrations are 0.005 and such. Just a light mist on the *wool* inside and I think you will control the *leather* stink. BAK and bleach don't actually remove the yeast or the stinky compounds they make, so you might not eliminate the odors immediately. a day in the sun or 30 min in a hot dryer can evaporate the smell. Diabetics learn a lot about yeast because their sweat is extra sweet. Develop a habit like bowling alleys: spritz a little Lysol inside after every wear. Dry your feet before you slip them on coming out of the shower. Use foot medicated foot powder in them occasionally. If there's no metal in your slippers, you can kill all the yeast with one minute in the microwave. That doesn't remove their smelly byproducts but it's sometimes useful for shock treatment.
