My belt got rubbed off after a short backpacking trip. What belt do you have that lasts?
My main street forge belt has held up fantastically. Im 6-7 years in I think, and it's showing no signs of slowing down.

BIFL belts at the most competitive prices?
Grip6 and Trayvax are great for durability and modular design, but if you're on a budget, check out Blue Alpha Gear or Klik Belts for rugged nylon options. For leather, Hanks or Main Street Forge last a lifetime with care.

BIFL belts at the most competitive prices?
Define competitive, to be honest, I got one of those Entirely plastic and nylon seat belt type belts in 2018 and beyond having to occasionally melt off any strings around the leading edge. It's entirely looks brand new. Also a plus that you can size it to exactly what you need and not have to rely on belt holes and the such. I think it was $10 or $15 when I got it, and it will probably outlast me. For a leather belts I would stay away from the fast fashion brands like a Levi's or whatever and go for at least a nice thick leather. You would really ultimately want one that you can change the buckle out on Chicago screws would be the preferred, but I guess the snap ones work in a pinch. More often than not, it's the belt buckle that ends up failing on me at least, so the ability to replace it whenever you want or as needed is an easy win. I'm currently using a main street forge belt that I got off of Amazon and it's wearing in nicely, occasionally I rub on some leather conditioner because I have it around anyway and it doesn't hurt to do, but it's not cracking or showing any signs of damage. If I remember right, that was in the $40 to $50 range. I am looking at getting a natural leather belt. There are plenty of different people that make them, I believe, brave start denim has won and there's plenty if you do a search online. Mainly because I'd like to see it patina as I wear it. That is purely for stylistic purposes. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the belt I currently have. From what I've seen of the natural leather belts, they go from anywhere between 50 and up.

Has Hanks Belts changed ownership? Now junk?
Check out Main Street Forge--they are the absolute GOAT for BIFL belts as far as I'm concerned. I bought two of their belts a long time ago and they are still going strong
