What's a Good CD Player to Buy?
You will want to look for higher end "audiophile" manufacturers, Marantz, Yamaha, Denon, Oppo, among others. Look for CD, SACD, or Universal players from these manufacturuers. Cost more, but should last 20 to 30 years. Any new products sold at Walmart, Target, etc will likely be low quality. You will probably need to spend $500 - $1500, unless you find used gear that is affordable and in good working order.

Oooh, Sorry Buddy. I can't help with the tape deck, the old man replaced it with a Marantz way back in the 80s. But as it happens, I can help with the turn table. The belt part number is KEB-006-0 and is still in production. It sells for between 15 and 35 ozzie bucks. I got mine from reverb.com and I'm sure if you have a poke around they'll have the tape deck belts. Hope this helps. 😁👍🏼👍🏼

The brands aren't too important, but these are some of my faves. * Vintage audio equipment. 80s Marantz amp and Advent speakers for my pc. * Vintage lamps. Living room lamp is from the 30s while my new Ikea lamp couldn't handle more than 15W and snapped in half just trying to use the damn thing. * A good mortar and pestle. Don't think capitalism was a thing when my oldest one was made. * All-metal sewing machine. I have my great grandma's straight stitch singer and a 70s new home/janome for specialty stitches. * Perennial food and herb garden. My family has been growing and dividing the same rhubarb plant for over 50 years. And rhubarb-anything is the best. * Bonus: Mason jars and rechargeable desiccant for herbs. My Vintage HiFi space in my new build house
That exact Marantz was my first piece of hifi equipment, bought with money from my first job as a 14 year old. I miss it so. Also like the 1st gen CD player ya got there-that's a historical piece as well.
