  I've been carrying GoRuck, Hazard 4 and Maxpedition bags for years, beat the hell out of them, and they barely even look used. Hazard 4 and Maxpedition are largely pretty "tactical" looking but Maxpedition has a couple lines of regular looking bags too and their Entity 16 has been my daily bag and travel bag for many years now and is hands down my all time favorite daily backpack.

  What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?

  I bought a Maxpedition valet tray and it ALWAYS has my keys and wallet. Contrast my wife, her stuff moves around constantly and she can be a bit frustrated at times trying to track things down.

  Duffle Bag Recommendation

  I have maxpedition duffels and LL Bean roller duffel (for flying). Both are solid. I use maxpedition for backpacks, pocket organizers, travel tray and even toiletry bag (currently with me on a trip). LL Bean is also a good choice for plain bag. As I mentioned it's my travel bag (on airplanes). Little dirty but not ripped or anything. Protects pretty well for duffel. Ive had kcups and bags of chips in it without getting destroyed.

  5.11 Tactical Are their backpacks worth the price?

  I've had one of their long gun soft cases for years and it's held up great. That said, I'm not sure I would spend money on one of their backpacks. I'm not into the whole "tactical" thing, but if you dig that stuff, Maxpedition is the better brand I think. For a plain, durable backpack I really like Timbuk2

  Maxpedition makes the best “Tactical” luggage. It’s bomb proof (not literally) and very well thought out. I have many items, large and small, and I have never had to replace any of it after a decade or more of use.
