We live in a walkable city. My husband and I share one car and rely on public transit a lot. When the weather is decent, we walk to and from daycare every day. 1. We bought a Mockingbird single to double stroller with a bassinet attachment and a car seat adapter. We also bought a Chicco Keyfit 360 car seat. I took my daughter for multiple 1+ hour walks every day in her bassinet when I was on maternity leave. Our daughter never loved her car seat, possibly because we only used it 1-2x a week, so we didn’t often use the car seat adapter. It was helpful to have though and I’m glad we bought one. 2. We traveled on a plane for the first time when she was 5 months old. We ended up buying a Mompush Lithe V2 travel stroller that had an almost flat recline option. It was inexpensive and much easier to travel with because it was lighter and fit more easily in the trunk of a car. 3. Our daughter is 18 months old. Now we use our Mockingbird as our neighborhood heavy duty walking stroller and keep the travel stroller in the trunk in case we need a stroller while we’re out. 4. I’m pregnant with our second and looking forward to converting the mockingbird into a double stroller.

I would actually recommend the mockingbird. It's a knock off of the vista, but it's lighter, cheaper and all the fabric parts are fully removable and machine washable (which you definitely need once they start walking and eating solids). The mockingbird also does not have different weight restrictions on the seats when used as a double stroller and the configurations for seats, car seats and bassinets are limitless.

Uppababy is great (try and get the previous version that included the bassinet) but it’s not ideal for two since the bassinet needs to be in the back when you use it for two. There’s also the mockingbird.

We had a mocking bird that we used till 2.5-3 years old. Still in amazing condition. Now my cousin will be using it for his baby and toddler.
