  Detachable Shower Head in Brushed Nickel

  Another vote for Moens. I like our rainshower/handheld combo (Attract, I think) so much that I kept it when we did a shower rebuild this year. I’ll also say that I have had zero problems with ever getting Moen to honour their warranties for repairs/parts for our kitchen and bathroom faucets over the last 20 years.

  +1 Moen Magnetix  "Buy it for looks, buy it for life"  No one stands behind their products so well. I had a kitchen faucet with water so hard, it ate through the valve body after the third go around of free components. Moen sent an entire faucet for free, I only paid shipping to expedite it.

  We switched to the Moen Magnetix shower heads did both of our bathrooms and they seem to be very sturdy, no leaking and the ease of ability to remove/replace the shower head during a shower has been a game changer for my daughter and I. We are on the shorter side and not have to struggle to get the head disengaged has been marvelous!

  You don't. You go to retailers that specialize in that kind of good. The nature of online sales means that it's a race to the bottom for quality and pice. Sure, the same looking moen faucet is $130 at my local plumbing supply store and $70 at home depot. But the body is made of brass instead of plastic and it'll last nearly forever with serviceable seals. Sure, Levi's are $40 on Amazon and $75 at my local clothing store. But the denim is twice the weight and its better stiched. The Amazon ones dont last a year. The others i've had some for 20, and theyre identical to the ones I bought last year locally too. If you want to find and buy quality goods, you need to inspect them before you buy. Online all they have to do is look OK in photos.

  I think you should be avoiding faucets that cheap just on principle. The lowest you should probably go is plumbing store Moen, as opposed to Home Depot Moen. This is especially true if you are going to be drinking the water that comes out of it. In this case, given what we know already, if you have one for whatever reason, rip it out and get a proper faucet.

  Moen or Delta. It’s a good idea to consult local service plumbers in your area as to what’s common when it comes to the fixtures in your area. That will make it easier to service without wait times on supply orders. I agree with the other poster that you should buy from a quality source. I ended up buying from Costco and they sold supply house quality for the set I bought. You can always cross check the material specifications on the website to make sure the shower internals are metal.

  I prefer moen. You can still buy parts for a lot of the models from the 60s or 70s.  Buy the more expensive models that are made of metal, not the big big store specials that are dirt cheap. The cartridges are the same but the handles will not look nice as long.

  pullout faucet, i was shopping for a pullout faucet and majority of the pullout faucet will automatically retract, then a sales person told me there's one model similar pricing that does not automatically retract, so it will not splash the water everywhere when it retracted while I still using it.

  I've never seen the word "pullout" used so many times. Bravo! But I like the Moen ones that have the counterweight. They generally stay put

  This isn’t true. Companies aren’t just sending their worst tools to the big box stores. They may have a lesser grade tool sitting beside the higher grade one but they offer both. Most tool stores do though. Milwaukee has fuel or just standard at Home Depot. Same with dewalts lineup. Both offered. I don’t think anyone makes b quality appliances just tiers. The only true thing that applies to is like fixtures. Moen at Home Depot is plastic but at a plumbing supply they have the high quality all metal versions you can’t find in big box stores.

  You probably have a lifetime warranty on it. But I would go with Moen again, just a less fancy faucet. I've been treated right by their warranty too many times.

  As a landlord, I've seen bad Kohler. The Moen from 1990s and up have all been good. Note box store products are inferior to supply chain items.

  [BIFL Request] - Kitchen Sink Faucet

  Moen and Kohler are considered the best. Delta and pfister are 2ndish place but at a distant 2nd place and not close. Single handle faucets have an expected lifetime of 10-15 years.  Only advantage is it uses 1 cartridge only and not 2. Double handle 3 hole faucets have an expected lifetime of at least 20 years.
