Similar but I opted for Notability. It carried me through college and does all the cool stuff that iOS Note only catch up with recently. However they started rolling out new features and AI stuff lately kinda messed up my workflow.

What is the best application you have purchased with a one-time payment?
Similar situation for me with Notability. Grandfathered and it’s been great. I use it for journaling, note taking in meetings, PDF editing, etc. Day one looks great. Looks like Apple’s native journal app will compete with it once it’s on iPad.
