  #1 baby on the way. Which stroller would you recommend for a newborn that can ideally be used until age 3?

  We got a vista uppa and the nuna trvl and honestly sold our vista because it’s too heavy to take in and out of the car. The trvl was perfect for me (mom). All my friends suggest the vista and it was not a good fit for our lifestyle. If it’s mostly your wife using it I would try a lighter stroller. Nuna is a great brand.

  The Nuna brand has been running strong for us with stroller and car seat for 3 years now. Prefer the look and the construction compared to uppababy. Highly recommend. They also make a great travel stroller that fits on airplane luggage storage

  I see a lot of people recommending the Vista, and it's for sure sturdy, but it is quite heavy and as someone who used to demo strollers for customers, I didn't like how it still took up a lot of space when collapsed. I also thought their car seats (at least the Mesa and the Aria) were a bit cramped and tightly angled for an infant. Personally, I was a fan of the Nuna Triv, as I thought it was a good midpoint between a travel stroller and something real chunky like a Vista; it's easy to collapse and light enough to easily lift, although baby does sit a bit low in the car seat; the Pipa Aire car seat seemed nice too, very lightweight. Nuna only has one stroller that can convert to a double iirc, so that's also something to consider. Their Travel isn't quite as compact as other brands, and the Mixx Next is basically their version of the Vista, but collapses into a more compact form imo. I'd also recommend checking out Bugaboo - if I were to have a kid their Butterfly is what I'd get as a travel stroller. Easy to collapse, super lightweight, fits in most (if not all) overhead compartments on an airplane. I've also heard good things about the Kangaroo and Donkey!   I have the nuna tavo system, it's the cheapest system that nuna sells and we love it. $800 or so and includes the car seat which is $350 or so alone. It clicks right into the stroller with no adapter. It reclines but we never used that, neither of our kids tolerated bassinet settings, they both preferred to be worn for a walks until 6 months. That's another consideration with looking for a stroller with too many add ons, your kid might hate them all.

  Joolz has a ten year transferable warranty! Plus it is repairable so if something does break, you can order parts for it! We have the Joolz Aer Plus (now the Aer 2) and bought the adapters to use with Nuna Pipa car seat. That way you don’t need to buy the bassinet either, and it does lie flat for a bigger baby. It was literally the best purchase we made! Baby is now 18 months and it still works great. We felt so much freedom to get out and about, even with a newborn. It gives you the mobility of a doona but you can use it 4x longer. We take it to the pharmacy, park, everywhere. We’ve travelled all over Asia with it. It does it all!

  I bought a nuna mixx stroller for my oldest about 6 years ago. I think it was their only offering back then. Anyways i would definitely go with one of the newer Nuna offerings. Our stroller is still going strong with baby number 3.

  Strongly agree with this. Speaking from my own experience, you'll eventually get tired of hauling around a bulky, heavy stroller especially once your toddler starts walking. That's when you might ditch it and start looking for something lighter. So if you want to keep things simple, just go with a stroller+bassinet/car seat combo, which is also more budget-friendly. We've been using the Mamazing bassinet stroller with the Nuna car seat, and when our kid hit toddlerhood, we'll just use the stroller itself.

  So I have a slight obsession with baby/kid products. Anything to make my life easier! So I have several strollers in my garage/car. I live in the country on a gravel road to give you background. - Uppababy Vista - this thing is a BEAST - heavy and rock solid. I wouldn’t recommend for early postpartum since the parent giving birth should not be heavy lifting for at least 6-8 weeks. I didn’t buy this until kid #2 was here and it was second hand. My most used stroller for 2 kids. Works well on gravel as well as lots of in and out of the car. It’s so solid, you literally can’t break it. It’s meant to be used and abused. The storage is also amazing! - Bugaboo Butterfly - I bought this when I was going to flying with just 1 child and it eventually became the easy load and go stroller. It does indeed fit above you in the plane. Compatible with our car seat. I used this extensively in my fresh postpartum period and I had CS so heavy lifting is very frowned upon on. This is actually what I recommend for first time parents to start out with until they know their preferences. It’s easier on the wallet and it has a decent resell market. - Uppababy Ridge - this was the stroller we chose when I was pregnant with our first kiddo. We loved it. You can use the car seat and bassinet with it. Works even better on gravel or a bumpy lawn than the vista. Pushes so good. However since having kid #2 we have only pulled it out a handful of times. We will likely use this stroller more once Kid #1 outgrows the Vista. I don’t think this one is going to have a good resale outcome despite it being Uppababy. -Gladly Anthem Wagon - I love this for parades and zoos where there’s a lot of getting in and out. However once I got the Vista, we rarely have touched this even with car seat attachments.. We might use it more once kid #2 is a toddler. - Evenflo DualShyft Car seat/stroller - this is their version of the doona. I will say that this was awesome to travel with an infant on a plane. We bought kid #1 a seat and it fit amazingly. This one is sadly not reached for as often since it’s not as intuitive (or maybe we just needed more practice - I don’t know lol). If I lived in the city and needed to travel with a car seat and stroller (like a lot of ride share or taxi) then I would consider this one. I will say that I have a couple friends with doonas as their only stroller and they love it. Would not recommend this for gravel or lawns. There is no suspension. All in all - my vote would be for 2 ride to die strollers and those would be the Vista and the Butterfly. That would cover pretty much all of your possible uses for a stroller. I would recommend the Uppababy snug seat regardless of what stroller you settle on. I used it in every attachment and stroller possible since it really stabilizes their wobbly head in those early weeks except for the infant carrier car seat. Also a quiet shout out for the Nuna Pipa Lite Rx car seat! Compatible with all of these options listed above and we chose it because it was one of the lightest car seats at the time of kid #1’s birth.

  We did the full Nuna system (bassinet, baby car seat, stroller, etc.) with Swiv stroller. It’s been incredible and would buy it all again.

  Stroller Recommendations

  We had a Nuna that was good, but then I rented a Bob jogger on vacation and fell in love with it. I ended up buying a Thule Jogger which is going strong with kid number 2, but the Bob is a great choice too. Joggers are just better with different terrain, hop curbs easy, and are simple. The Nuna was great if you're on a smooth sidewalk or something and had too many plastic parts
