What to burn FSA money on?
Had $3200 left to burn. So far I’ve bought the oura ring with the year subscription, a foot massager, this copper knee wrap thing for my mom, a food sensitivity test because I’ve always wanted to try one, a bunch of electrolytes marketed for hangovers, a smart scale that measures body fat and all that, and two sets of custom insoles. Still have some left to burn so I’m scouring the fsa store and Amazon lol

Need help finding the best smart ring for my wife’s birthday
Fair point about checking first but assuming she's already expressed interest or they've talked about it I'd lean Oura if budget allows - the sleep tracking really is solid and most people I know who got one actually stuck with using it. RingConn might be the move if you want to test the waters without committing to a subscription

Need help finding the best smart ring for my wife’s birthday
Does she want/need one? I'd be extra sure before gifting such interactive surveillance tech. They are not exactly pretty and most people don't need them at all. I'm pretty anti tech (as an engineer lol) so take it with a grain of salt, but I wanted to raise the point. If she does want one, I know a few Oura users who really like theirs (and ignore my objections). Don't know anyone who has any others.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Oura ring. I realised how much sleep quality affects my well-being. I have since cut down alcohol consumption, gotten careful with caffeine and have changed my training program (late training keeps my heart rate up).

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Not BIFL, but the OurA ring. I didn’t even buy it. I go it for free through a trial program that looked for early COVID symptoms. Started noticing trends in my sleep due to daily habits like late exercise, late meals, and alcohol consumption. I rarely drink now and have changed up my eating habits a lot. I check my sleep score daily. Love this thing.

What purchase changed your habit?
That’s been the biggest thing with my Oura ring. It’s crazy how badly I sleep after even 2 drinks.

Looking for the perfect alarm clock for the rest of my life
I've found it hard to sleep with a smart watch, I like the Oura ring for sleep tracking and forget its on while I sleep but no smart alarm. I think the ultrahuman has a smart alarm feature or the circular had a vibrating alarm on their ring. could be worth considering if you're like me where sleeping with a watch has never really worked out
