  Walmart ozark trail 32oz stainless steel vacuum sealed water bottle $13.73. This is the best value water bottle I’ve found. Keeps ice water cold all day, just like the expensive trendy brands. I don’t understand why people would pay $30+ for the same thing

  I got an ozark trail tumbler when the yeti look alikes first came out, had to be 10 years ago or so now. I have a Stanley half gallon I use for water and a classic Stanley I use if I need to take extra coffee with me the tumbler can’t hold. It’s a solid system that needs no adjustment

  I have my cheap ass Gatorade bottle I've had for years. It works great. I just wash it and reuse it. I also have some cheap Ozark metal water bottles. They keep cold drinks cold for DAYS. I've taken them with me for outdoor stuff and put ice in it on hot days. Ice is still there 5-8+ hours later. Hot stuff stays hot. Almost too well.

  Is there such thing as a “good” tent?

  People underestimate and judge the Ozark Trail stuff a lot. It’s really a class/posturing thing. The modern OT stuff is way better than Walmart has a history of. The walmart bikes of today are respectable for what they’re trying to be vs the tinfoil deathtraps of 20 years ago. Oxark Trail coolers are just as good if not better than the Yeti shenanigans, and the camping stuff has always been pretty good, but is now even better and respectable. But meanwhile you have a numpty wearing an REI vest riding a Conalgo, who wants to look down on you from their dentistry practice. Long of the short, Ozark Trail tents are respectable, paying more for an average joe standpoint tent is not worth it in my opinion.

  Is there such thing as a “good” tent?

  I bought an $80 Ozark Trail six person tent from Walmart because my kids wanted to camp in the backyard over the summer. It got set up and taken down probably 25 times, left out for a week or two because I got tired of setting it up and taking it down. For $80, if I had to turn around tomorrow and throw it away, I'd have no issues because (in my opinion) I got my moneys worth out of it. To that point, it's holding up just fine and looks like we'll get plenty more use out of it!

  Finally found a water bottle that doesn't crap out after a year

  I have a bunch of stainless steel water bottles, double insulated. Cheap China, Owala, Takeya, Hydroflask, Ozark Trail. We use them daily, and put them thru the dishwasher nightly. All of the double walls have held up as far as keeping ice all day or night if they don't get washed. I haven't had any that stopped keeping cold. After 10 years, a lot of the powder coating on all of them have started getting a dull finish from the dishwasher. The ones that have dents from dropping begin to get flaking over time. The point of breakdown is usually the lid. I dropped my owala lid, and the plastic where the straw inserts cracked. A few other lids have also been dropped and plastic handles or the flip top part will be the break point. But lids are fairly cheap to replace in comparison to the bottle. Same with silicone rings. So my rec is just to get the bottle that fits where you need it to (backpack holder, car cup holder) and has the lid you like. The Owalas are the current favorite for ease of use and in style for my kid. I have a few Fauxwalas from Temu, and other than they don't have Owala label, work just the same. And I am sure all of the powder coating issues would be solved with handwashing vs dishwasher. But I hate handwashing. Also, acrylic paint pens are amazing for putting names and designs on water bottles. I have ones that have lasted 9 years with minor touchups.

  Just get a steel water bottle. Doesn't even have to be expensive you can get like an Ozark Trail one from Walmart.

  Dunno what you're doing to yours. My $40 Ozark Trail chair with the foot stool is going on 7 years of almost constant use. It's my go to for outings and I bust it out if I have too many guests for couch space.

  I went with a Ozark trail knock off. Ice doesn't last as long, but it does last literal days before melting and I absolutely never find myself babysitting a drink for days on end

  What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?

  Before I was a sandal wearer, a friend gave me an expensive (I think) pair of sandals that I loved. I have no idea what brand they were, I didn't think about it, I just used them. After they were done, I bought a $20 pair of Ozark Trail Walmart special sandals that I somehow loved even more. Those fuckers took me hundreds of miles in comfort. When I finally wore them out and had to buy new sandals, the ones I liked had already been discontinued. Now I'm a sandal wearer and I've bought a few different types but they have all been disappointing. Where can I get the good cheap ones again?

  Best Brand for Food Thermos with Long Heat Retention?

  I'm using stanley thermos for 10 years. but the cap and seal could fail at any time. Ozark trail has some perfectly fine stainless thermos's. but the cap is probably not BIFL.

  The 32oz Nalgene bottle

  Thin wall - not the double wall vacuum insulted shenanigans - steel without paint. I use a kleen kanteen. The sport cap makes a funny noise but is worth it. As long as the threads aren't dented then it's fine. Mines covered in dents and I only use it for climbing. Otherwise it's nalgenes and Ozark trail mugs at the office. The no paint is just because it can chip, especially climbing.

  My adventuring water bottle is a camelback ripoff made by ozark trail that I love. And I had a contigo 24 oz for many years as my every day one but their new model color ways just don't feel like me -- too pastel. I ended up getting an iron flask I'm still waiting on.

  Coffee Cup/Tumbler that is EASY TO CLEAN and ideally leak proof

  I love, love, love my Ozark Trail (Walmart) travel cup that was recommended on here. It’s miles above any Contigo one I’ve had (a bunch) and other brands, super-easy to clean because it just doesn’t have a bunch of components that have to be disassembled and spots that trap stuff, and the lid looks like it wouldn’t be particularly sturdy but I have accidentally knocked it over so many times and it has never leaked on me. Plus, it keeps stuff hot/cold better than any other mug I’ve had. My expectations were really low when I got it because it’s so cheap, but it’s really great.
