Quiet and Light Hairdryer
I’d pick the Parlux 385 if durability is top priority .... I’ve used it for years, it’s built like a salon tool, stays relatively quiet for the power it puts out, and feels light in hand compared to old pro dryers.

Hair dryers? What should I be looking for?
I stick with brands like Panasonic and Parlux since they’ve held up for years and don’t feel cheap. Most of that $30–$300 gap you mentioned is build quality and motor type, not marketing. If you go mid-range with those features, you’ll be fine.

Quiet and Light Hairdryer
I’ve tried a bunch and the one that stuck with me is the Parlux 385.

Quiet and Light Hairdryer
I got the Parlux 3800 because I wanted something that could survive daily use without sounding like a jet. It’s surprisingly quiet for the power it puts out and feels balanced enough that my arm doesn’t get tired.

Can you recommend a durable hair straightener?
GHD for a straightener and Parlux for blow drier. My wife swears by both brands for the last almost 2 decades.

What's the best hair dryer?
Parlux hands down. Take a look at what your cosmetologists use. More often than not it’s a Parlux. Built like a tank, made in Italy, and repairable. The advance light is a great “bang for buck” model.
