  I am biased, but you should check out the Peak Design Pro Roller. I have been traveling with it all year (working in the business), and tomorrow I am going to put it through its flight number 28 (with Latam as a carry-on), and I have to say it's truly remarkable. My favourite features are: \- The organization and opening. It really makes it functional \- The protection it offers while retaining the features of soft luggage (accessible laptop pocket) \- The look. It's subtle and refined. Blends with everything.   Stylist (women’s) work backpack that fits a 16” laptop

  The peak Design everyday tote is my current bag - bought it second hand from their resell store but it’s sturdy and can fit a 16” laptop. Only thing is it doesn’t have an outside water bottle pocket but I’ve had no problems with fitting my hydroflask (the bigger size) inside the bag itself. The side zips on the bag make it super easy to access while you’re wearing it because of the hinged back straps.   Backpack suggestions?

  Both me and my girlfriend have peak design everyday backpack and i love the compartment system for traveling and everyday use. Ive had it for like 4 ish years daily use, looks just like new. Mine is the smaller size and my gf's the larger size. I have a 17 inch laptop(no bezel just to be clear) and iPad, and they both fit at the same time. I suggest going with the small one, i can pack a camera+ and extra lens, battery, charger, laptop+phone charger, large power bank, 1 hoodie rolled, and some extra stuff in there at the same time. I have traveled with it being 13 kg and it has held up just fine (the strap strapper helps a lot). Also because its small, noone questions how heavy it is. The larger one is a little too large for my liking, but you can definitely have more in it. I think ive had it for 3-4 years now and it looks just like new. I must say when it rains very heavy (i bike) the straps soak water minimally, but will trap moisture underneath. The zipper does a 7/10 job keeping water out, i wouldnt stay in rain more than an hour, and i dry the zipper before opening it with a cloth.

  Peak Design has great selection of bags and a killer warranty service in case of a broken bag. I ripped a zipper after multiple years on one of their sling bags, received a new one by mail, free of charge, 1 week wait for the replacement.

  Peak Design backpacks are GOATED. Really, really expensive, but it’s for good reason. I’m not going to list absolutely everything you get from the packs in terms of features and design because it’s A LOT. Just go to their website and start looking into their packs. I have the Everyday Backpack and it’s perfect for my needs. I intend on taking care of it for years to come and never getting rid of it.

  seconding le creuset cast iron. also SEBO vacuums, ecm espresso machines (though most italian esp. machines are similar quality), bradley mountain wallets, peak design bags. not sure about true BIFL status due to the inclusion of software, but my nikon DSLRs have held up very well over the years

  Peak Design’s “Everyday” backpack is “weatherproof” and has an option for an additional bag for electronics. Peak Design is mostly known for their camera gear, but as one can imagine cameras don’t like getting wet just as much as computers don’t.

  Looking for recs on an overnight bag

  Am a fan of the Patagonia black hole duffle. 35l or whatever is closest or fits your need. Also, the Peak Design duffle is nice and different looking than the PBH. Wouldn’t recc the LLBean adventure duffles anymore. Mine disintegrated and got bad ugly beforehand.

  Trying to get a new backpack but also have questions

  Leather is really more of an aesthetic choice... Especially these days. The designs are rudimentary due to it's limitations, it requires regular care and maintenance in order to last, and you're just missing out on a lot of usability.... Many modern fabrics/materials are just as durable, if not more-so... A few brands that come to mind for me are Osprey, Fjallraven, Peak Design, and Gregory. They all make a very wide range of different bags that are built for maximum comfort, durability, and usability

  Need Help Choosing a Backpack

  I have a few tomtoc things and they are nice, but I would prefer Bellroy or Peak Design if I were to do that style. I will say that I was at the airport two months ago and I saw a guy wearing the Raven Backpack and it looked fantastic and I asked him how he liked it and he just went on and on. It’s super simple pack, but it’s really great. Fjallraven is a good company too.

  You can buy it for life and if anything happens to it, they'll almost always replace it. At least as long as they don't change their warranty. I will say, it can take some time. I've had a large tech pouch with a broken zipper and it's been in "order received" status for over a month now so ymmv

  So this is a little niche, I love osprey for hiking but I’m a journalist and when I’m in the field I need a more internally structured bag to protect my kit. I really love Peak Design Bags for that. Great camera bag, very sturdy while being light. Can be customized and the dividers are totally movable. I am an environmental reporter, so my gear takes a beating. But this bag has held up. Also recommend the Sony a7R series. Even with my constant abuse it only needs servicing every 2-3 years
