What’s the best beard trimmer that actually lasts?
Philips norelco. I’ve had it so long that I don’t remember when I bought it. Funny story, earlier this year, I took it in a road trip and used it a couple times but it wouldn’t turn on back home. I thought it was finally dead and ordered another one. While waiting on the order I thought let me try cleaning the inside and noticed that the whirling bit under the blade could be prodded a bit inside or pulled out a bit. I pulled it out and voila it started working again! Returned the new one and old fellow is still going at it strong.

What’s the best beard trimmer that actually lasts?
I’ve had a Philips norelco series 7000 for nearly 10 years and I think I’ve only ever had to charge it 2-3 times. I use it roughly once every two weeks

What’s the best beard trimmer if you want something that lasts long?
Second this. I’ve had a Phillips norelco for over a decade now, use it about twice a week for about 5 minutes at a time, and I shit you not I have charged that thing only 2 or 3 times. I’m not sure what kind of wizardry they are using for those batteries, and why they can’t use it in my fuckin cellphone…

What’s the best beard trimmer if you want something that lasts long?
I'm a very wirey haired redhead with thick THICK facial hair. I've killed more than a handfull of trimmers in my time. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Philips **Norelco Multigroom 5000 Trimmer**! Do the maintenance/cleaning and have some white lithium to re-grease the driveshaft inside and you'll have a tool for a long long time.

What’s the best beard trimmer if you want something that lasts long?
Wahl is what my barber and others in this sub will recommend. My experience with the Phillips norelco multigroom series has been excellent. Im not sure why but it never ever needs to charge and I've had it for 4+ years at this point.

Best men’s hair clipper
Go for the Philips Series 5000 or Wahl Elite Pro, both durable, precise, and great for easy home cuts under €80.

Looking for a waterproof hair trimming set for beard nose and ears.
Philips Norelco makes some pretty quiet ones that are fully waterproof - I've had mine for like 3 years now and it's still going strong. The 9000 series is pricey but way quieter than most trimmers and comes with all the nose/ear attachments

Water proof electric razor?
I have had this for 9 years and still gets the job done. I don’t use it in the shower but I think it can be used. https://www.target.com/p/philips-norelco-series-7000-multigroom-men-39-s-rechargeable-electric-trimmer-mg7910-49-19pc/-/A-87205298

Beard Trimmer recommendation for adjustable length
the philips 5000 is basically a solid all-rounder for length control. but it leaves stubble so your neck never looks properly cleaned up. the babyliss skeleton is made for lining up and edging. it gives you that super close cut, sharp outline and almost barber-shop feel. but it’s not really designed for adjustable lengths or an all-over trim so you end up needing both tools. for something with more precision, go for a professional-style clipper with adjustable taper lever. otherwise you can also look at stuff marketed as a trimmer+detailer. i prefer the [clipper route](https://GrowthGridLab.github.io/Discover/?to=beard_trimmer_recommendation_for_adjustable) even though it is bulkier because it’s barber-grade. no single cordless tool does both perfectly, but you can get close. comes down to whether you want more convenience or more precision.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
Phillips Norelco multigroomer has saved me. I have sensitive skin and don’t like an actual razor blade, so got a $20 trimmer over 15 years and haven’t use a razor since. I don’t like a keeping beard, but it takes it down to fresh stubble that I’d have by noon anyway. I’m not sure what batteries the Norelco Multigroomers use, but it feels like I charge once a year to shave a few times a week. It just doesn’t die, which makes it harder to keep track of the charging cord than you’d think.

Philips Norelco Series 5000 Lasted 7.5 Years
I’ve had mine for ages nice to stumble across this post

Phillips Norelco reflex plus 6423lc. Since 2005 with original head. The beard trimmer function died after 7 years. Here’s to 15 more years!
Still on the original blades on mine! 20 years old sounds about right, although it was new in the box until my grandfather passed away in 2011, and I didn’t really start using it daily until closer to 2015.

Just stumbled on this post after my newer Norelco broke after 12 years. I still have this exact shaver that was my first electric shaver in 2004. Still works perfectly. I just used it today. I even have the carrying case for it still.

What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?
A Philips Norelco beard trimmer. Bought it at Big Lots in 2008 before I left for college. I've lost all the attachments for it, and everything except for it and the charging cable. But it does everything I need it to do and will not die.

Anyone know a good, cheap body trimmer and a good cheap clipper?
I have 2 of the same ones. Philips Norelco. One was for a pet trimmer (she had thick hair). I use mine to shave my head. Its not very big but only takes me 10 mins to buzz all my hair off. Very powerful, battery life is pretty good. I dont charge it often.

This Philips Norelco has been the best trimmer I've ever owned.

Been using this on “dead” battery for 2 years
I had a different model Phillips Norelco that did something similar. It'd go 3-4 months between charges, and I used it at least 3x weekly. It never quit. I eventually replaced it because I lost all the attachments.

Any recommendations for a pubic area trimmer?
I’ve been using the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 7000 on my pubic area for months and it handles coarse hair without pulling.

Any recommendations for a pubic area trimmer?
I started with a cheap Wahl clipper and kept nicking myself, so I finally grabbed the Philips Norelco OneBlade Face + Body.

Beard Trimmer recommendations (like a travel trimmer: simple, compact, cordless)
You might like the Philips Norelco One Blade compact, cordless, easy to clean, and has an adjustable length comb that stays attached. Another solid option is the Wahl Peanut Cordless small, powerful, and durable. If you want something closer to your Remington MB10, check out the Panasonic ER-GB42-K, which has a built-in adjustable length dial.

What are your best recommendations for nose hair trimmer for men, yes for nose, ear, and eyebrows? Preferably quiet
I've been using the Philips Norelco Nose, Ear & Brow Trimmer for a while now, and it's been a solid upgrade from my old Conair.

I want to buy the Philips Smartsleep
Thanks! Meanwhile after reading reviews I am inclined to buy the 3672 philips which can be operated via their app as everyone agrees the manual operation was a pain. Or maybe Hue Go and a Bridge. But the philips sleep alarm should have a more natural gradual sunrise apparently

What did you buy not realizing you bought it for life?
I have a Philips Norwlco (AT810) electric razor that I purchased between 2006 and 2008. Haven't changed the head and it's still going.
