Wiper Blades- what will last me the longest?
I've had PIAA silicone blades on a car for 12+ years now and they still work great. Granted, I live in a warmish state, so they have never seen ice or snow, but I feel like that is pretty good. The frames have gotten a little rust staining, but that is really all. I've also ,in the past, had good experiences with cheap solid silicone blades (not the silicone coated crap that claims to be silicone on the box), and in fact the rear wiper on that same car was a cheap silicone refill and has lasted almost as long but did start getting a little streaky a few years ago. With solid silicone, they dont oxidize/crack, so you actually need to wear down the blades before they start failing.

What’s one item you think should be built to last, but never is?
Windshield wipers. I mean, I know you can buy PIAA silicone for about $25 per wiper, but you would think it would be a safety issue having wipers designed to last 6 months so you'll come back to the store.

Any good wiper blades?
I'm years late to the conversation but yeah these are my go-to as well. I put PIAA blades on my daily driver 2015 Prius 4 years ago when I bought it and 240k miles later (I drive a ton) they are still working just fine. I'm in the Midwest US where it gets to -10F in the winter and 100F+ in the summer and they handle the weather just fine year round. I stumbled on this thread researching recommendations for other decent wiper blades that might be a little cheaper for my other cars that get driven less but with the resounding approval for PIAA everywhere I look I think I'll just deal with the cost and go with those again.

Any good wiper blades?
They handle heat well too. I used to change OEM blades at least twice a year here in CA (110°+ summers) but PIAA silicone blades have made it through at least two years without any issues.
