  Same for me. I used to be the kind of person who wanted tons of pillows. Now I just use the pillow cube for my head and I hug another pillow. I can’t sleep without the pillow cube so I bought the travel version for trips. I get the pillowcases elsewhere. I gave my mom a pillow cube for her bed and she’s the same way and now needs a travel version. We went to California in October and she didn’t take her pillow cube so was miserable the whole trip.

  As a side sleeper I second most of this—shredded fill was too unstructured, and buckwheat felt like concrete, but for me the pillow cube my daughter got me a few years ago is still going strong, although it does indeed look odd on the bed

  Pillow Cube doesnt change shape, stays at its designated firmness, doesnt get hot. Its a good pillow. It works as advertised. However, it will degrade over time if you fold it or toss and turn. The pillow cube also has an unnatural feel to it. You become accustomed to the feeling but personally I do yearn for something that feels more traditional at times. I dont like pillows with "foam". You can adjust them, yes, but finding that perfect amount of foam is an endless pursuit. Eventually oils and dirt will find its way inside your foam. You cannot escape it. This makes the pillow clumpy, flat, and even if it were "cool" it wont be anymore. They are extremely comfortable but you will find yourself replacing them more often than other pillows.  A latex pillow is basically peak comfort but its the oddest of all pillows. You dont really sink into it at all. Your head rests on top of the pillow. It can feel like it might bounce off the pillow. Its a major adjustment, but it works remarkably well. The sleep is exquisite.  Ive not tried buckwheat. The one with the husks. Ive read many horror stories about those pillows. I would presume that you need a good brand and you need to buy from a reputable dealer. I would never buy one from Amazon.

  I’ve had a Pillow Cube for a few years now and I love it. Only annoying thing is their pillow cases come in limited colors if you want the nice fitted pillowcases instead of using lose normal ones on them. I believe they have one that is supposed to be cooling too

  I love my Cube, it has the right amount of firmness. I bought one of the Amazon knockoffs after I bought the real thing and it sucks. It’s just too firm. My wife kept stealing my good one so I ended up buying one for her. My only issue is when I flip around sometimes and stomach sleep. It’s no good for that and I have to grab another regular thin pillow. That’s not an everyday thing but keep it in mind if you sleep on your stomach often.

  Couldn't disagree more. I bought the 6" cube over a year ago and im getting a new one. I take it everywhere. RV, hotels, everywhere! No its not designed for back sleepers. Giving a bad review on a product because you misuse it is not really fair.

  To each their own, after a double fusion neck surgery and being a side sleeper, it's the only pillow I've found that doesn't make my neck feel like total crap. I left it at home on a trip a few months ago and had the worst three nights of sleep since I got my cube over a year ago.

  I got the original Pillow Cube in 2001, when there was only one option and it was a square shape. It is 6" thick and perfect for me. I'm 5'11" with broad shoulders. Now when I went on their site to get another one, they've changed the shape to a rectangle and are suggesting the 5" pillow fits most people. They sell a 6" but claim its for people 6'4" and taller. That is incorrect in my experience. I wonder if people here have been suggested a too-thin pillowcube and haven't had good results because of it. Its the best pillow I've ever had, but they don't sell this one anymore, nor do they sell pillowsheets for it anymore. I'm glad I bought 2 extra cases, but they're a bit long in the tooth after 4 years of rotation.

  Pillow for side sleepers

  Pillow Cube has eliminated my neck and shoulder pain. Prior to that, I tried to make myself into a back sleeper with a memory foam pillow designed for that, but it didn't work. I do still have a bit of an issue with hip pain, but not willing to buy a new mattress to test my theory that my current one is too firm.

  I need pillow recommendations

  I also love my pillow cube!! Pillow cube does sell a travel cube which I picked up last Black Friday. It compresses down pretty nicely, took it on my last trip and it was really great to get decent sleep at the hotel rather than cobbling together 3 pillows to find some semblance of neck support.

  I had the pillow cube deluxe… I thought it was too wide personally. I thought the cube foam was actually fantastic. I basically sleep on my side but I found there was still a gap because I don’t sleep with my shoulder right up on it so my neck and head would both be on the pillow.
