Is a Robotic Pool Cleaner Actually Worth It Long-Term?
We personally deal with Polaris. Whichever brand you get prior to purchasing, pick a major brand, not just an Amazon special, and see what your local shops will be able to repair. The biggest problem with the electric ones is that people use the power cord to pull them out of the water which damages the cable and the robot. Be sure it has some sort of a "lift" button on it. What that does it make it so the robot crawls up to a wall and climbs to the surface so you can grab the handle and remove it from the pool that way. Also worth noting that a lot of brands sell consumer grade models as opposed to prograde models. They look the same and will even take the same replacement parts but they are built to a much lower quality, hence the cost difference. In short a Polaris you buy off Amazon may cost less than what my company can likely get it for but comes with inferior components. It's like that across the industry with a lot of pool equipment actually.

I got a Polaris and it was absolutely worth it. Went from taking over an hour to manually clean to 5 minutes of chucking it in and cleaning out the basket afterwards
