Need comfortable shoes to help with foot pain.
New balance 928 oil resistant version. Take out the insert and purchase a power step or navy blue redi orthotic from Amazon to replace it. Ice at night, stretch ur ankle and heel in the am and pm (google excercise for plantar facitis/Achilles tenosynovitis.) get some OTC Diclofenac gel and rub it like u love it.

Custom insoles worth the price if you want them to last?
Well, usually high quality OTC insoles like superfeet or powerstep ($56) might just work great for you, so try them first. But if it is not the case due to their soft arch support, then go for some custom insoles with stronger arch support (if your knees, back, hips hurt, it probably means you need personalized arch support for correcting posture). Apparently, for the custom insoles from doctors, $200 would be too much for me, so I would recommend ease in from some AFFORDABLE online custom insoles solutions with stronger supporting, around $70?: sprinsole, fitmyfoot, sooley, etc. which allow you to scan your feet via phones for customization. I have tried several of them, working great for my long-standing warehouse job so far.

Non-popular sneakers which will last at least couple of years
PowerStep ProTech Classic Orthotic Insoles . I build prosthetics, custom orthotics, and arch supports, as far as "off the shelf" goes, these things are great. they cost about $75 on Amazon, but I've used the same pair through 3 pairs of shoes. I'm on my feet all day, but I do rotate my shoes, which is also something you should do to give you more life and let's the shoes decompress. With good support you won't be crushing one specific spot. I prefer these to ones I've specifically built for my feet, and again...I do this for a living. That's not a knock on my work, it's a testament to how much I like these and recommend them.

Best shoes to buy???
I build prosthetics and am on my feet 8 hours a day. I have seen and talked to others about their shoes, because I see their shoes all the time. A one legged 75 year old man swore up and down that New Balance 608's were the best shoes. His words "I have one foot left, you damn well know I want it to be comfortable.". I took his words to heart and got a pair... I've now been wearing the same style for ten years. A few years ago I rolled my ankle and it collapsed my arch, I now also wear inserts in my 608's, the "PowerStep ProTech Classic Orthotic Insoles" off Amazon. Shoes are about $60 and insoles are $75, but it's a great combination and recommend it to anyone who asks

I wear through shoes way faster than anybody I’ve ever heard of.
You can get decent insoles called Powerstep for $30 that can help a lot with pronation.

Ladies, what are the MOST comfortable boots you’ve worn for walking 10k+ steps a day?
Insoles. Powerstep power maxx insoles. Check pharmacies in your area. These are the step before custom. I highly recommend go try them on a day later in the day when your feet hurt. They aren’t generic insoles they have a metal piece in them to keep sturdy. They expanded the line. I know pinnacle and pinnacle maxx. The one with gel heel is for heel spurs. My mom used protek is what they call it. Try to buy locally.

Are There Any Truly BIFL Insoles?
Dr recommended Powerstep to me. Eventually will wear out but inexpensive with great support, won’t go “flat”.

Black non slip work shoes for walking all day
Avoid Shoes for Crews and Crocs if you’re on your feet for long periods. I recommend New Balance 626v2 and a pair of Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx inserts. Or Superfeet Copper DMP. If you want BIFL, save up and get a pair of custom orthotics made. A good pair will last >10 years.
