One of the most bombproof, apocalypse ready watches you can buy.
My solar G shock and protrek are coming up on 12 and 13 years respectively, still on their original batteries and, while the batteries are probably long in the tooth, they'll happily keep time even in a drawer for a few weeks.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
I was so impressed by the protrek and I considered a Mudmaster, too! Maybe when mine is ready to retire, eh?

Bravo! I have a protrek that I bought probably close to 20 years ago and it's now semi retired sitting on my window sill but still "ticking". The compass ring is a bit loose but that's mostly cosmetic and it still looks fine. I had to replace the band and that's it. It's been through all manner of weather and conditions. I splurged (for me) on a gshock mudmaster a couple years ago and wear it every day and during all activities. These things really are a great brand in my experience.
