Gift Ideas for My Boyfriend Who Has Everything?
My bf is literally the same and this is what I suggest: 1. Highly recommend a watchmaking class in Switzerland (if you’re in Europe or can afford to go there) at the Audemars Piquet Museum - https://museeatelier.audemarspiguet.com It’s super exclusive and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You can buy him a voucher for I think 400$ and it doesn’t have an expiration date. There’s cheaper options from other watchmaking brands, too. 2. If you’re planning a vacation, get him a helicopter tour or even a class on flying a small plane. I find this an amazing experience you can do almost anywhere. 3. Research japanese denim jeans - they’re super in trend rn (there’s groups about it on reddit), brands are: ONI, Samurai, PBG (pure blue japan), Momotaro 4. A japanese knifes set, a super limited edition wine opener (find something with a story) - if he’s into wine. Cufflinks of his taste. I personally sent my bf 5-7 examples of cufflinks to see what’s his taste then select something similar so it’s still as surprise. 5. Any garments made of high-quality wool (think Loro Piana) or 100% cashmere are always a classy, long-term investment! I asked my bf to answer your question and he said your bf “just wants a kiss” hehe. Good luck!

Gift Ideas for My Boyfriend Who Has Everything?
You should both get a pair of Japanese raw denim. I recommend Momotaro or Pure Blue Japan. You both wear the jeans starting the same time and see who gets the better fades. This will be something you both get to experience together and the jeans will tell a story with each fade, stain and tear.

What are the best jeans brands (and model)?
You should browse r/rawdenim. The best are the ones that fit. After that it's a matter of how heavy and how expensive you want them. I love my Pure Blue Japans, but my second favorite pair of jeans is from the Gap.

BIFL Jeans the Community Recommends?
Kapital, Pure Blue Japan, Japan Blue, Samurai Jeans, graphzero, Full Count, Momotaro Jeans, Oni Denim, Evisu, TCB, etc. Basically any manufacturer that [Denimio](https://www.denimio.com/en_US/home/) would carry. All made in Japan. Many based in Kojima, some in Osaka. If Naked and Famous has something novel, you can give it a try. Tate and Yoko’s shop is in Montreal, however, they do not have a friendly exchange-return policy. Be aware when ordering.

What’s one product you bought that has lasted forever and was totally worth it?
Honestly I can’t remember if it was Pure Blue Japan lol. They don’t put most of their women’s fits on a website and the leather patch is plain white with no writings on it. It’s a model titled “Louise” (embroidered on the inside), high waisted, straight fit. Free modification. I just remember walking FOREVER into the back streets of Harajuku last time I was in Tokyo on a cold day. I really enjoy high quality denim, but boy, it is difficult to sell a pair of unworn Samurai!

Flannel shirts that last
Most of the Japanese denim companies make excellent flannels. Studio D’artisan, Real McCoy, Pure Blue Japan. None of them are cheap, but all of them are good. Iron Heart’s heavyweights are far and away the most durable and impressive shirts around though.

Has everything we buy reduced in quality over time? Has anything increased in quality or stayed high quality and durable?
Raw Denim was always BIFL, go with a Japanese brand like Oni, Pure Blue Japan, The Flat Head, Momotaro, or Iron Heart. Buy a looser fit for the drape, to allow tons of room for shrinkage, and to let the fabric breathe when worn. Wash them regularly (every few months at least). Hang dry. They will last 10-20 years or longer, and will get more comfortable/look better with each wear.
