Ugh. Please recommend me an iron that (a) lasts, and (b) doesn’t spit water all over whatever I’m ironing. So sick of my last two irons. But yes, I’d prefer a steam iron if possible, because I’m lazy, I guess. Thanks.
ik this is old but i thought to help with the entire water spitting problem cus i recently learned about it and it helped me. water spitting occurs either because the iron isn't too hot or because you overfilled the tank. gunk in the water is also a reason, using distilled water fixes this. you could also try using a spray bottle and spray before ironing, it works super well. a good quality iron does help as well, but realistically speaking unless it's one of the higher end brands, you're likely to encounter some problems. on that note i will recommend pursteam's irons, idt ive heard water spitting issues with them but only with the station max version, i can't say about the others.

Best steam mop for cleaning floors?
Funny timing- I was literally just in a store last week asking a salesperson about steam mops because my old one finally gave up. I told her I wanted something reliable under $200 and she actually pointed me toward [this Reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/user/Ashamed-Implement958/comments/1p88c9v/steam_mopping_a_deep_clean_deep_dive/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) someone showed her during a demo (no joke lol). It breaks down two PurSteam options: the 10-in-1 and the ScrubMaster. I ended up going with the ScrubMaster because I have textured tiles in the kitchen and a dog that apparently believes mud is a lifestyle. The built in bristles + steam thing actually works way better than I expected and the LED lights help me catch stuff I’d totally miss otherwise. But if you're not scrubbing pet goo out of grout weekly, the 10-in-1 is probably the smarter all rounder. That post does a decent job explaining the difference without sounding like it was written by someone trying to sell you magic beans.

Good travel steamer?
All these steamers are pretty similar overall. You’re not going to find huge differences unless you’re looking at some crazy high-end stuff. What can mess with them though is the water you use, tap water can cause some of them to lose steam (literally) over time. As far as a good starting point, I’d guide you towards [dovety’s steamer](https://ra-sl.com/dp-B0F5HLV9CB0). It’s lightweight, heats up quick, and the rotating head is a nice bonus. It's also on the affordable side. Another option is the pursteam steamer. It’s got a bigger tank and a solid design, but the bigger tank can make it a little bulkier. Still, it does the job for bigger steaming sessions. I’d lean more towards dovety just because they have better customer support. Pursteam’s customer service can sometimes be a hassle, and the warranty process is a little frustrating

Couple of things that might help imo: – Go for anti drip models for no annoying water splashes. – ceramic or stainless steel soleplate- they glide better and last longer. – A self cleaning function really helps if you’ve got hard water, keeps buildup away. – Auto shut off is underrated but nice – fast steam output ofc if you want wrinkles gone fast. Considering these factors, I’d say go for the pursteam steam iron if you want something more powerful(big tank, heats up fast, smooth ceramic soleplate). Or just for essentials, hamilton beach has got really good reviews. I would recc hamilton more tho since it doesn't complicate stuff much but that's just my preference, professionals like pursteam sm better. If you want more tech deets, look at this [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/u/FuriousFoe1001/s/eQvz1SXb8f), it's got all the mains covered.

I’ve seen [PurSteam World's Best Steamers](https://wayward.com/s/TctJI9ol) mentioned a lot in discussions about reliable steam irons. Seems like a solid choice with good reviews on heating and minimal leaking. Might be worth looking into!

I read lazy and I knew I had to answer this because, same. Here's how I’d break this down based on my own experiences (and a couple of borrowed irons from overly organized friends). For heavy duty use Reliable and Rowenta steam irons are the best of the best. Reliable in particular has a model, the velocity 230IR which has this pressurized steam system that is super consistent and there are no random water spurts. It’s perfect if you’re dealing with heavy fabrics or a mountain of clothes Now if you’re more about everyday ironing like me I can suggest 3 steam irons: CHI steam iron 13102, the black+decker D3030, and the pursteam steamburst+. The CHI is lowkey luxurious. It has this titanium infused ceramic soleplate that’s really smooth. Also it has adjustable steam so you wont be blasting delicates with the same force you’d use on jeans. The black+decker allure is more no-frills. It heats up fast, doesn’t leak and just works. No complaints but it’s not particularly exciting either. The \[pursteam steamburst+ steam iron\]([https://amazon.com.bestsellers.reviewskateboard.com/dp-B0DG441CZ5](https://amazon.com.bestsellers.reviewskateboard.com/dp-B0DG441CZ5)) i believe hits the sweet spot. It has most of the essentials: a ceramic soleplate that glides well, adjustable steam and a burst-of-steam option (for the annoying wrinkles). It also has anti drip and self clean features- it’s like they knew we don’t want to think too hard about maintenance\[.\]([https://www.amazon.com/SteamBurst-Soleplate-Adjustable-Self-Clean-Long-Lasting/dp/B0DG441CZ5](https://www.amazon.com/SteamBurst-Soleplate-Adjustable-Self-Clean-Long-Lasting/dp/B0DG441CZ5))

Best steam mop for cleaning floors?
I'm so surprised that you're even keeping a $200 budget when I've seen some great steam mops for as low as $60. One such mop, in particular, that I cannot recommend enough is the PurSteam 10-in-1 Steam Mop. Why I believe this is the best on the market is in the name itself. It’s a 10-in-1??? Not only is this a multi-surface cleaner, but it also cleans those annoying crevices in our homes that we can’t reach. It cleans glass, grime, [grout](https://www.amazon.com/PurSteam-Convenient-Detachable-Handheld-Laminate/dp/B077S6KQ88) lines, and is even a fabric steamer! That’s like getting five different products all in one while also saving money on the price. For functionality, it’s a chemical-free cleaner, ensuring your home is safe for children and pets. It heats up super fast, in just 30 seconds, and comes with many different accessories. It’s so light and maneuverable that you can move it all around the house. I genuinely don’t see you finding a better option, so I think you should go for it! P.S.I bought it from [Amazon here](https://best-sellers.bellababyfoods.com/dp-2FB077S6KQ88).
