  Best home air purifier brand(s)?

  I’ve had my Rabbit Air purifiers for over 10 years and they keep going. I started with one since we were living in an apartment and now have 4 (due to sq ft and layout of house, but it’s overkill) and they have been the absolute best. One of the few brands that is worth the expense.

  The Best Air Purifier for Home now? Have you noticed a huge difference since you started using them?

  Seconding Rabbit Air. I have a Minus A2 with a VOC filter package that I need to vacuum weekly as it becomes caked with dog hair. I also have their entry level BioGS that’s now 18 years old and works flawlessly. They have excellent customer service too. I also have a Coway Amega, which works just fine in my little foyer, but it’s not as impressive as the Rabbit minus A2.

  I own a Rabbit A3 and Rabbit MinusA2. The A3 is a lot quieter but both perform well. I did a blind test with a friend and he said that the air seemed "lighter", which I had agreed with.

  Air Purifier for pollen: Levoit Vital 200S vs Coway Airmega Jet (AP-1220B)

  Rabbit Air is Coway's higher end product and is closer to BIFL. the Minus A2 is a good balance of a lower premium cost and higher relative performance in the 12 month replacement cycle 5 layer filters. If you're even a little DIY capable the Cleanairkits Luggable line is BIFL due to the ease of filter replacement via consumer furnace filters and the use of PC case fans designed to run very quiet for a very long time with low/no harmonics. The power supply can be easily swapped to an adjustable one from Amazon if you want more than 1 speed.

  My original rabbit air biogs is going strong 16 years later. My biogs 2.0 is 7 years old and going strong. Happy with them both. Every time I clean the pre filters they are full of dust and hair. Also have an entry level blueair, which I don't love because the pre filter is stretchy fabric. It's impossible to change without the fabric springing into a smaller shape when it's removed and dust going everywhere. Honestly the one that removes dust best in my home isn't a hepa filter at all. It's an old filtrete air purifier that is just a fan and a regular flat filtrete filter. More air flow, intake near the floor, picks up so much. That one is also 16ish years old with no issues.

  Been using a RabbitAir 2 since 2017 and with filter replacements yearly and cleaning the sensor it still runs like new. Recently wall mounted near my toddler son's bed and its silent mode at night is still unparalleled. Worth it.

  AND Those filters can get expensive, so look at the filters you need to buy, figure out when they need to be replaced, and do the math to compare annual maintenance costs. For instance, I looked at these Coways and found they’re very similar to the Rabbit Air. Oh look! The Coway filters are half the price of Rabbit Air filters! Oh but wait, the Coway filters change every year while the Rabbit Air filters last 2 years… so really about the same.
