Randolph Engineering for sure! I have some aviator style Ray Bans and holding them side by side, the Ray Bans feel like a toy!

What’s the best sunglass brand to bifl? I’m not even sure if there’s any with a very durable design
Randolph Engineering is incredible. I own two pairs. The first is 15+ years and I only bought the second pair because I wanted to have a pair for each car. Almost indestructible, incredible warranty and craftsmanship. Also very easy to repair.

Best sunglasses to buy for life?
Huge sunglasses fan, and by far my favorite brand is Randolph Engineering. The 3 pairs I own are exceptionally made, and the quality of the lenses will ruin most other sunglasses for you. I try not to make them my daily wear because of the cost, and they do not make some of the styles anymore, but it’s hard not to with the quality of the lenses. This brand is also US made and not owned by Luxottica

Any suggestions for high-quality polarized sunglasses that don’t have a huge markup just because of the brand?
Costco is the best bang for your buck for the affordable tier. Randolph Engineering is good. I get Matsuda frames and put prescription lenses in them as sunglasses at my optometrist’s.

Buy it for life sunglasses?
Maui Jim, Randolph Engineering, American Optical, and Oakley (SI or Ballistic line). If budget allows, Moscot or Persol are built to last with quality craftsmanship

Sunglasses - Polarised with glass/scratch resistant lenses?
I did a bunch of research looking for a great pair of sunglasses a couple years ago and I ended up going with Randolph Engineering. Very happy with them so far, wonderful quality. Definitely not the most affordable option but I think they were worth it.
