WiFi was lack luster on both of my GMGs. My cousin got a rectec before and after they added WiFi. Rectec WiFi was better hands down. When I get my next pellet grill I’d consider the rectec but those horns are obnoxious.

What's the best pellet smoker?
Big fan of my Recteqs. Construction is great, temp range is absurd, flavor is good. My only regret is that the newer ones have options for big ass off road dollies, which I’d get a bunch of use out of. I had one issue with the control board and they sent another one out right away, no questions asked. I have a 1250 and a 690 portable. They’re a better deal than Traeger as-is, but then you have to factor in that the RT comes with a folding shelf and dual temp probes included, even on small models. I got them on sale together, with an entire pallet of pellets and every little add on they had available for like $1900.

I've got a buddy who swears by his Recteq and ive heard good things overall about them so I may go that route, price is better too. Worth noting Traeger is pretty expensive, they do big sales like every holiday but especially fathers day, thats when I got mine. Wouldnt get one not on sale. Possible I just got a lemon, but all the people I know with other "less popular" pellet smoker brands have had theres longer without problems.

Yoder is probably as best to BIFL, rectec a second. I wouldn’t expect one to truly ever last more than 10 years though. I have a GMG Daniel Boone that I rarely use but it’s pushing 10 years.
