Hard to get brands without a huge markup?
Somehow makes sense.. here in Germany anything American is extremely expensive for some reason. But the weck jars are also something that has been produced since around 1890 and has remained a German thing for some reason. I think the high import costs are a typical thing for such things, especially the high taxes. But here as well, other jars are typically cheaper than weck and within the people I know noone uses weck except me. How is it for the brand 'rex'? It's also from the weck brand and produced for the Austrian market. Different design, same glass

Safety razor for life?
Bought a Rex Konsul after my Merkur head snapped off when it accidentally fell on the bathroom floor after a decade of ownership. Really like the Rex and all of their other products. Stainless steel so unlikely to break as easily.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
