  Are expensive phone cases actually worth it? Or is a cheap one just as good?

  I use Rhinoshield, love the transparent ones that don't go yellow over time and you can get some amazing designs (I have a Gear 5 Luffy case that looks amazing). It definitely protects the phone but you do have to pay a premium for it

  Are Refurbished Electronics a Smart Choice?

  I bought my second refurbished phone in 12 years. First it was a Oneplus device, this second one is a Samsung. The refurbished market can be intimidating. I suggest having some basic knowledge of google-ing/reddit-ing so that you can actually get answers before to buy. Personal experience: First phone, was in 8/10 shape, couple of scratches on the back, but since I buy a nice phonecase it didn't bothered me. I use Rhinoshield for my devices and my love ones, the cases are great, not cheap tho. The do have a lanyard which is something I need to strap a wrist strap (You muggers are not getting my phone out of my hand in the bus stop). It was 1 year old when I bought the refurbished one at a percentage of the retail price. Pretty much a new phone (battery was new) apart from the scratches at the back. The second phone was a Samsung 2 year old flagship phone. It was marked at 9/10, and TBH it has barely anything, I didn't knew why wouldn't they put a 10/10 on the condition. Battery was also new. If I get something else in the near future I will likely get another refurbished device with 1-2 years of hitting retail. On most phones you can run a diagnostic test on the screen, speakers, ports, battery, this allows you to return the phone if needed. TBH its like buying a new phone, you sometimes might be unlucky and get a bad battery, screen, port or something. I have never had any issue with my devices or those I recommend to family. I only knew of a friend of a friend that got a bad battery but Amazon reimbursed and got the device back. Usually there are companies that refurbish devices and sell them on Amazon, marketplace or even some online shops. I usually go through Amazon as I can pay with intermediaries to reduce my exposure to possible scams.

  iPhone 16 Pro Screen Protector

  Generally I've used Spigen and TechArmor for phone screen protectors. Looking through my email receipts, it looks like I've also used AMfilm for my switch and an old e reader and something called megoo for my laptop. Honestly, I haven't had any complaints about any of them. I rarely drop stuff, but I think I've lost a couple of screen protectors and no actual screens over the past ~10 years. I recently finally bit the bullet and finally upgraded from the old (2016) SE to a 16, and I just put on a Spigen protector a couple days ago. Super easy install; it came with an aligner piece that basically made it foolproof, whereas historically I often have to fiddle with it a bit to get it aligned right with no tiny bubbles that I can't push out. Can't say anything about the specific quality on this one, though, as I've only had it on for less than a week. I also ended up getting a flexible spigen case and some rhinoshield lens protectors for the massive lenses. Mostly happy with these as well, except that the latter did not come with instructions, just a qr code, and the page the qr code went to did not actually have instructions for that product. It was an easy install anyway, though.
