Brother, but older models. Enshittification has unfortunately got to them. Still use my Ricoh 213w, 10 years strong.

I bought a Ricoh 213w black and white laser printer 10 years ago for £25. Will not die. Uses generic cartridges. Cheap alt to Brother. I hear Brother's quality has taken a recent hit.

Good shout on the roller 😎 For zero check in, I’d say a short weekend trip is a GR1, up to one week is a GR2, and long-haul is a GR3. I know the brand took a knock with its Vietnamese production and 210d, but I cannot emphasise how overbuilt these are, which is important when travelling. Plus, if anything goes wrong, you mail it to Florida, and it’s fixed and returned for free, forever.

Digital Camera - any forever cameras?
All digital cameras have a lifespan. The shutter is a mechanical item that is rated to a certain number. Also the sensors degrade over time. You’ll see more hot pixels and dead pixels. The only way to go bifl would be with analog and having the mechanical shutters “cla” (clean lube adjust) if you want something better than a cellphone for just nice family pics I would look at the Ricoh GR iii and griii x they’re compact with big sensors so they do well with average lighting
