What’s something you’ve bought once and never had to replace?
A Rowenta steam iron I bought more than ten years ago; mind you, I got it refurbished so it’s even older. I am a sewist and use it constantly and it has sustained some substantial drops. Still gets ridiculously hot very quickly !

Gave my made-in-Germany Rowenta to my son because I iron less these days. Bought a “Chi” brand iron, new but from a private seller so less expensive but without warranty. So far it’s every bit as good as the Rowenta.

I bought a Made in Germany Rowenta off ebay about 10 years ago and it's still going strong. I wouldn't get anything else, to be honest. It heats up quickly and puts out a lot of steam.

Good and strong fan that I can put beside my bed?
I bought 2 of these in 2014 and still use them. [Amazon- Rowenta Fan](https://a.co/d/iygz4bm) Just take the cage off once a year and clean the dust. Maybe get some of those small light blocking stickers to cover the setting indicator lights if that would bother you at night.

In the market for Cloth Iron
Rowenta is the way. We have put water in ours since we bought it in 2009 and it has never leaked. My wife scoffed at me when I told her I was going to get it for her when she needed an iron, but then the BIFL light came on and she is not a convert to the BIFL side of things

[Request] Clothing Iron?
Ive had the same rowenta from my mom and its going on 20 years. Its an external tank steam generating iron. Ive replaced the cord on it once so far. Not a single component in the unit looks like its going to give up any time soon. I cant recommend getting a steam generator one enough.
