Recommendation for best mattress for back pain
Most of the mattresses start sagging after a while unless they are specifically designed for back support. At that time, replacing a mattress felt expensive for me, but my back pain had gotten so bad that I thought I had no choice. While researching new mattresses, I saw this thread about mattress toppers and decided to try that first instead. I ordered the Saatva topper and it really made a huge difference. After so long, I woke up without that stiff feeling and my lower back pain is finally gone now.

I got a Saatva RX after doing some research on these mattress brands and go to stores and testing them out myself. Even among the Saatva mattresses, the RX was the only one I really loved. I’ve an athletic build and I discovered the softer the better for me. I added the down topper and I’m super happy. The shoulder pain I had from weight training is gone.

Latex is essentially king, in terms of support and longevity. Memory foam (the proper density and quality) is probably next in line. Mattress underground breaks this all down for you. You can get a latex hybrid which can be a good middle ground.

Japanese Joinery Bed Frame Review - FlexiSpot
I've been using the Flexispot frame for a week now. It seems quite solid and is a decent value for the money. Agree about the slats being pretty rough, and wish they were closer together. I should probably have gotten the upgraded slats and may order them later. We haven't had any toe crashes into the frame but have definitely had shin collisions; it really smarts when you smack your shin on that thing! I hope our mental mapping kicks in soon! There's one annoyance so far - it is REALLY hard to get the fitted sheets on. I have an 11" Saatva mattress with separate 4" latex topper (from Sleep on Latex - SUCH nice people!) and even the "deep pocket" Kirkland sheets are really hard to put on. It takes two people. I have 1 set of Cuddledown uber-deep pocket sheets and they are a bit easier but trying to work around the frame and those rough slats is a challenge. Cuddledown sheets are IMO way too expensive for what you actually get (they don't even label the sides) so I'd rather not buy more of them. Any tips/ideas that will make it easier to put sheets on without knuckle-scraping???

Avoid tempurpedic. They're overhyped and you cam get much better mattresses at that price point. Out of the ones you listed Saatva is probably the best. Recommendation for Mattress
Don't get latex if you're a side sleeper. Latex is usually too firm for side sleepers so it'll create too much pressure on your shoulders and hips. Look for a memory foam hybrid (mattress with a foam comfort layer and a coil support layer underneath). Saatva Classic is a good one to look at. Search Google for "saatva classic review sleepline", they do a good job of going over the pros and cons.

We have had a Saatva classic in the soft version for 8 years and love it. Still perfect condition and we are constantly recommending it to friends. Last year while we were on vacation my mom slept in it because she was watching our kids. She was also raving about it and ended up buying one. I can’t recommend Saatva enough. They are almost double the price now but I would still buy one. Sleep is so important for your physical and mental health so make sure you find something that works for you.

There a site, naplab, if I remember correctly. You and you SO should spend time on there. Fill some surveys and see what they recommend. Good research there. We came from a 10 year old Original Casper. It was getting too hot for us. Ended up now with a Saatva. We expect a decade of use. It's a latex hybrid and we love it so far.

so i have had my sferra bienno plush for 2+weeks. it is not plush as compared to my beautyrest exceptionale which lasted me 16 years. but i'm now 64 and loving this mattress more and more everyday. i did pick up a saatva topper to go under my sferro mattress pad. for just a little extra plush. i'll update again in month or so. hope this is helping someone
