  Don’t know if they’re still made as well but I have used a saddleback leather belt everyday since 2013 and it still works perfectly and still looks really good.

  I have a saddleback leather belt and it looks great after 9years and doing all kinds of hiking or sports (unintentionally happened to be wearing the belt when pickup happened).   BIFL leather work bag/briefcase

  For a BIFL leather briefcase that handles weight and patinas well, pick full-grain veg-tan with solid brass hardware, riveted strap anchors, and bonded-nylon stitching. My keepers: Saddleback Classic Briefcase (tank, heavy), Satchel & Page Counselor (great organizer), Frank Clegg Zip-Top (refined, durable). Go 2.5-3 in gusset, padded sleeve, YKK zips, and a 2 in shoulder pad for commute comfort. I’ve used Filson and Satchel & Page for trips; Latico Leathers fits when I want softer full-grain with hidden pockets and lighter carry. For longevity, choose full-grain veg-tan, brass, and stout stitching.

  What’s the toughest wallet you’ve ever owned?

  Every time this question pops up here I say the same thing. Saddleback leather medium billfold had it over a decade and have gotten many other briefcases duffel bags and satchels from them as well. Owner can run people the wrong way with his religion but the products are bulletproof I’ve never had any issues

  That’s a cool Carhartt wallet. Idk if it’ll be BIFL but it should serve you for many years. The stitching looks like the weak point on that wallet. My wallet is from Saddleback Leather and I consider that a true BIFL wallet. It comes with a 100 year warranty.

It's been with me for quite a number of years, carries a stupid long warranty, and will patina quite nicely with little maintenance... as in I don't maintain mine, I just use it. :) For what that's worth.   Help! It’s my husband’s 50th birthday on Monday. What is a good quality BIFL wallet?

  Available on Amazon; I’ve had two Bellroy wallets that held up very well, first one was just a card holder that I decided was too small. Actual BIFL I know Saddleback Leather’s motto is “they’ll fight over it when you’re dead” and have heard that their products tend to live up to it. Obviously a slower option than Amazon.   Any experiences with Macks Belts, Nicks Boots Belts, Saddleback Leather Belts, AZ Belts, or Lejon Leather Goods?

  The Saddleback belts are phenomenal. The Old Bull belt is incredibly high quality and is a single layer of leather so it works with jeans and pants like chinos or cargos. The Tow Belt is three layers of leather. Could probably pull out a stuck car with it. I don't wear that one as much as the Old Bull but they are both great depending on your fashion style
