What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?
Saeco espresso superautomatic whatever machine. Didn’t spend a ton on it, haven’t hardly done anything to it besides cleaning, still chugging away after 20 years of use multiple times daily. Paid for itself in like a month.

What’s one item you bought that way outperformed its price?
Saeco Xelxis SuperAutomatic Espresso machine. Purchased in 2018, it is still going strong, used multiple times a day every single day. It was around $3200 when we bought it, but we managed to snag a sweet deal and got it for $1800. I use it for cafe lattes, hubby likes americanos, daughter likes macchiatos. It is consistent and none of us use coffee creamer anymore because 2% milk is sweet enough, doesn't need to cover any bad coffee taste. We use Counter Culture whole beans. We had been going to Starbucks at least once a day back when we got it, we immediately stopped going. If it died today I would RUN to buy another one.

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
My daily driver moka pot is going on 17 years, a wedding gift from an Italian friend. My wife's daily driver Saeco Via Venezia was manufactured July 2007. I bought it used in 2010, and since it's purchase it's likely averaged over a shot a day. I have a 20 plus year old thermos and similarly aged mug to bring and use at work. My original blade grinder has been relegated to spices but it's pushing 15 years. My French press has been the worst I break them about every 4 years.
