Best portable SSD for general use (backups, files, everyday stuff)?
I've been using [this Sandisk](https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Professional-1TB-PRO-G40-SDPS31H-001T-GBCND/dp/B0BGYMJBQF/) for a long time now and never had any problems. Read and write speeds are good and I like the rugged design.

Which of the following 3 external USB SSDs should I buy (reliability is most important for me): 1. Kingston XS2000 External SSD 4TB, 2. Corsair EX400U 4TB, 3. Sandisk Extreme Pro 4TB, or 4. Samsung T9 4TB?
I use a Sandisk Extreme Pro 2TB for all of my new CPU setups, customer desktop transfers, etc. USB 3.0 is lightning fast and this drive has served me well with lots of different info being written and deleted constantly.

Best cheap portable SSD?
Avoid the 'No-Name' cheap brands on Amazon. They use low-quality controllers that fail without warning. Stick to Samsung, Crucial, or SanDisk

Best cheap portable SSD?
FYI no SSD is going to be truly BIFL But Samsung or Sandisk are pretty good Have bad experience with WD

Best cheap portable SSD?
Aluminium cases are the big thing here because they dump heat way better than the plastic shells that just trap it and make the controller go weird over time... once stuff gets too hot your write speed falls off a cliff and you can end up with corrupt files. The super cheap drives are usually stuffed with mystery QLC and barely any wear leveling, so they look like proper SSDs but behave like a slow USB stick the moment you push them a bit. If you want something that wont randomly choke, pick one that actually says USB 3.2 Gen 2 and uses NVMe inside. Anything that hides behind vague high speed USB claims is bad news. Forget the huge up to speed numbers on the box and look for a sustaied write rating. If they dont list one its probably rubbish. Samsung T7 or Sandisk Extreme V2 are the usual choices that work and dont melt down into a headache, pretty simple really and theyre not overpriced nonsense either.

Looking for relatively basic mp3 player
I recently bought two SanDisk ClipJam players. No removable batteries, no wireless capabilities but they suit my music fine so far.

Looking for relatively basic mp3 player
I still have 3 working Sandisk Clips. Mine are pre-bluetooth but a newer model exists. Phenomenally capable tiny MP3 player, FM radio, voice recorder, audible compatible.
